1 package (16 ounces) elbow macaroni
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
6 cups 2% milk
1 jar (15 ounces) process cheese sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
4 cups cubed fully cooked ham

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook macaroni according to package directions, adding broccoli during the last 3-4 minutes; drain. , In a large Dutch oven, saute onion in butter 2 minutes. Stir in flour, mustard, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in cheese sauce and 1 cup cheddar cheese until blended. , Remove from heat; stir in ham, macaroni and broccoli. Divide between a greased 13x9-in. baking dish and a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. , Bake, uncovered, 25-35 minutes or until bubbly and heated through.

6 oz. lean cooked ham, cut into 1x1/4x1/4-inch strips (1 1/2 cups)
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Cook pasta to desired doneness as directed on package, adding ham during last minute of cooking time. Drain; place in serving bowl.
  • Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine whipping cream and mustard; blend well. Add cream mixture and onions to cooked pasta and ham; toss gently to coat.

1 boneless fully cooked ham (about 3 pounds)
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Place ham on a greased rack in a shallow roasting pan. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 50-60 minutes. Combine honey, mustard and sugar; brush about 3 tablespoons over ham. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until a thermometer reads 140° and ham is heated through. Stir into remaining glaze; heat through and serve with the ham.

I came up with the glaze for this ham using ingredients on hand and it's the best I've ever tasted. If you have any glaze left over, you can add it to the pan drippings with a little flour or cornstarch and make a nice sauce to accompany the meat. Use the bone and ham trimmings to make soup afterwards.

1 (10 pound) fully-cooked, bone-in ham
1 ¼ cups packed dark brown sugar
⅓ cup pineapple juice
⅓ cup honey
⅓ large orange, juiced and zested
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
¼ teaspoon ground cloves

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Place ham in a roasting pan.
  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, honey, orange juice, orange zest, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Set aside.
  • Bake ham in preheated oven uncovered for 2 hours. Remove ham from oven, and brush with glaze. Bake for an additional 30 to 45 minutes, brushing ham with glaze every 10 minutes.

1 (3 lb) boneless cooked ham
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Grease a rack and place it in a shallow baking pan.
  • Place the ham on it and bake uncovered at 325*F for 50-60 minutes.
  • After the long baking brush about 3 TBLS of the baste over the ham and bake an additional 10-15 minutes (or until ham is heated through to an internal temperature of 140*).
  • Stir the T of water into the remaining glaze, heat and serve with the ham.
