1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon peppermint extract

Steps:

  • Bring water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium; stir 4 to 5 minutes. Add peppermint extract and remove from heat. Cool syrup for 5 minutes; pour into glass jar with tight-fitting lid.

Homemade Peppermint Syrup {No Refined Sugars} image

Number Of Ingredients 3

3/4 cup water
1 cup sucanat (unrefined sugar--I get mine at our local healthfood store.)
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract

Steps:

  • Mix water and sugar in a small saucepan.
  • Heat over medium heat until boiling and sucanat is dissolved.
  • Add peppermint and let simmer a couple more minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool. Store in a Mason jar.
