1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 garlic clove, minced

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a jar with a lid; cover and shake to mix thoroughly.
  • Let stand at least 2 hours to blend seasonings.
  • Shake well before using.
  • Wonderful on Italian lettuce salad.

  • Place the first 10 ingredients in a blender. Cover and process until pureed. While processing, gradually add oil in a steady stream. Refrigerate leftovers.

2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 small clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Pinch of sugar
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon grated pecorino romano cheese

Steps:

  • Whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, olive oil, garlic, oregano, sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a medium bowl. Stir in the parsley, parmesan and pecorino. Season with more salt and pepper. (The dressing will keep, refrigerated, up to 1 week.)

2 tablespoons salt

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the garlic salt, onion powder, sugar, oregano, pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery salt and regular salt. Store in a tightly sealed container.
  • To prepare dressing, whisk together 1/4 cup white vinegar, 2/3 cup canola oil, 2 tablespoons water and 2 tablespoons of the dry mix.

  • Combine all ingredients in a bottle.
  • Shake to blend.
