HOMEMADE CURED HAM WITH BROWN SUGAR HONEY GLAZE
This is a recipe for Homemade Cured Ham with Brown Sugar Honey Glaze

Steps:
- Combine the following curing ingredients in a large deep container: sea salt, brown sugar, Prague powder, and dried bay leaves. Pour hot water. Stir.
- Add cold water and ice. Soak the fresh pork ham into the brine for 3 days. Make sure to keep it in a cool place such as inside the refrigerator.
- After 3 days, wash the cured ham with running water. Discard the brine and then fill the container with clean tap water. Soak the ham for 3 hours to reduce the saltiness.
- Preheat oven to 320F.
- Arrange the ham in a roasting rack. Cover with aluminum foil. Roast for 2 hours.
- Remove the foil and increase the oven heat to 400F. Continue to roast for 1 hour.
- Prepare the Brown Sugar Honey Glaze by coming all the glaze ingredients in a sauce pan. Heat the pan and stir the mixture until well blended. Continue to cook in low to medium heat until the mixture reduces to half.
- Remove ham from the oven. Brush Brown Sugar Honey Glaze all over it. Continue to roast for 10 minutes or until the ham turns brown.
- Remove from the oven. Let it cool down.
- Carve the ham. Serve.

- Adjust the oven racks to accommodate a large roasting pan. Fit the pan with a shallow roasting rack. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Unwrap the ham and rinse it under cold water. Place it on the rack in the roasting pan. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour 40 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the brown sugar and honey in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
- Pour the brown sugar glaze over the ham and continue roasting1 hour 40 minutes more, basting at least twice with the drippings in the roaster. (To adjust the total roasting time for a smaller or larger ham, calculate 20 minutes per pound.) Check for doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into a meaty spot (not into fat or touching the bone)-it should register 160 degrees F.
- Let the ham stand 15 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to set. (You can make the ham up to 2 hours ahead; tent with foil and serve at room temperature.)

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place the ham in a roasting pan and dot with cloves. In a saucepan combine the pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey and orange juice. Stir and simmer over medium-low heat until thickened, about 10 minutes. Pour the glaze over the ham.
- Bake the ham uncovered for 1 hour in the preheated oven.

EASY BROWN SUGAR AND HONEY GLAZED HAM RECIPE [+ AIR FRYER HAM]
This ham glaze recipe is perfect for any ham, any time! Gently spiced with cinnamon and cloves and sweetened with brown sugar and honey. Definitely my favorite ham glaze! It will be a big hit for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas!

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line baking dish or roasting pan with foil.
- Use a knife to score a 1-inch diamond pattern over the whole ham, allowing more surface area for the glaze. Place ham in baking dish with some water to cover bottom of pan, no more than 1/4-inch of water.
- Cover ham with foil and plan to bake until ham reaches 140 degrees F with thermometer inserted into thickest part, about 15-20 minutes per pound, depending on the type and size of ham. (See Timetable for Cooking Ham for detailed cooking time estimates.) Glazing will happen during the last 30 minutes or so of baking time.
- As the last 30 minutes of baking time approaches, brown the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, until it begins to turn golden brown and aromatic. Swirl it around in the pan occasionally to help it brown evenly. Stir in the brown sugar, honey, mustard, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir until sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add the garlic. Cook for a minute or two until it becomes fragrant and just begins to simmer. Right as it begins to simmer, remove from heat and set aside. As it cools, it will become the consistency of a thick honey.
- Remove ham from oven about 30 minutes before done and increase oven temperature to 425 degrees F. Brush or spoon 1/3 of the glaze over the ham. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes. Brush or spoon another 1/3 of the glaze and some pan juices, then bake another 10 minutes. Repeat with pan juices, remaining glaze, and bake.
- Ham is done when internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F. Broil for 2-5 minutes if you want more of a glaze crust, but don't let it burn. Let ham rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
- Follow all directions from above, but cook covered ham at 350˚ for 20 minutes in air fryer. Then remove foil and add glaze and cook for 10 more minutes. Slice and add more glaze, cook for 2-5 more minutes, if desired, and enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 325°F. Place ham in large roasting pan. Pour apple juice over ham. Cover ham completely with parchment paper, then cover ham and roasting pan completely with heavy-duty foil, sealing tightly at edges of pan. Bake ham until instant-read thermometer inserted into center of ham registers 145°F, about 3 hours 45 minutes. Remove ham from oven. Increase oven temperature to 375°F.
- Remove foil and parchment from ham. Drain and discard liquids from roasting pan. Cut off rind and all but 1/4-inch-thick layer of fat from ham and discard. Using long sharp knife, score fat in 1-inch-wide, 1/4-inch-deep diamond pattern. Spread mustard evenly over fat layer on ham. Pat brown sugar over mustard coating, pressing firmly to adhere. Drizzle honey evenly over. Bake until ham is well glazed, spooning any mustard and sugar glaze that slides into roasting pan back over ham, about 30 minutes. Transfer ham to serving platter; let cool at least 45 minutes. Slice ham and serve slightly warm or at room temperature.
