1 boneless pork shoulder (2-1/2 lb.), cut into bite-size pieces
1-1/2 lb. butternut squash, peeled, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 can (8 oz.) pineapple tidbits, undrained
1 onion, chopped
1 bottle (18 oz.) KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
1 pkg. (6 oz.) baby spinach leaves

Steps:

  • Place meat in slow cooker; top with squash, pineapple, onions and barbecue sauce. Cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours).
  • Add spinach to ingredients in slow cooker; mix well.

This recipe does wonders for pork ribs. My mother made it when I was a child, and now I make it for my family. This recipe is very rich but very filling. It goes great with mashed potatoes!

¼ cup vinegar
½ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon salt
½ tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
3 pounds pork spareribs, cut into serving size pieces

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, and pineapple. Stir in brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, and ginger. Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Arrange a layer of spareribs in a roasting pan. Pour half of the sauce over the top. Arrange another layer of spareribs, and top with remaining sauce. Cover pan tightly with foil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until done, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

10 thick pork chops (always allow one per person)
12 ounces ketchup (about half a bottle)
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
salt and pepper
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple

Steps:

  • Brown the pork chops slowly in a greased skillet just to a light golden brown; remove and transfer to an oven pan. Chops should be arranged in a single layer.
  • In a saucepan, mix the remaining ingredients, except for the pineapple; bring to a boil and cook to thicken. Pour the sauce over the pork chops; top with the crushed pineapple, juice and all. Cover with foil and bake in a preheated 275 degree oven for 2-1/2 to 3 hours.
  • Serve with green beans, creamed corn, and rolls.

2 -3 pork tenderloin, cut in pieces
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 (8 ounce) pineapple tidbits (drained well)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 green pepper, chopped (optional)

Steps:

  • In a skillet lightly brown pork pieces slowly in vegetable oil. Remove from skillet and place in bottom of crock pot.
  • In same skillet cook onion and celery just until tender, but not browned.
  • Add remaining ingredients and simmer about 1 minute. Pour sauce over pork pieces in crock pot.
  • Turn crock pot on high for 1st hour and then to low for 3-4 hours.
  • Note: If using optional green pepper, brown with onion and celery.
  • Note: If you want sauce thicker, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch during last 30 minutes.
  • Great served over buttered rice!
  • Enjoy!

1 can (8 ounces) unsweetened crushed pineapple, undrained
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sliced celery
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 boneless pork loin roast (3 to 4 pounds)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons canola oil
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/3 cup cold water

Steps:

  • Mix first six ingredients. Cut roast in half; sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat; brown roast on all sides., Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Pour pineapple mixture over top. Cook, covered, until a thermometer inserted in roast reads at least 145°, 3-4 hours., Remove roast from slow cooker; keep warm. Transfer cooking juices to a saucepan; bring to a boil. Mix cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into cooking juices. Return to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, 1-2 minutes. Serve with roast.

4 boneless pork loin chops (3/4 inch thick and 4 ounces each)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 teaspoons canola oil, divided
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
1/3 cup thinly sliced onion
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium beef broth
1 can (8 ounces) unsweetened pineapple chunks, undrained
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons cold water
Hot cooked rice, optional

Steps:

  • Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook pork chops until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and keep warm. , In the same skillet, saute green pepper and onion in remaining 1 teaspoon oil until almost tender, about 2 minutes. Stir in broth, pineapple, ketchup, brown sugar and vinegar.
