HARDEE'S BISCUITS
This is a copycat for Hardee's biscuits. Don't how close I would call it, but they are still very good biscuits.

Steps:
- Dissolve yeast in warm water, add buttermilk, sugar, and baking powder to yeast mixture. Combine flour and Crisco until crumbly. Mix yeast mixture and flour mixture together, place bowl in refrigerator for 12 hours. Roll out about 1/2" thick and cut out. Bake at 425 degrees F. until brown. Dough will keep for 1 week in refrigerator.

HARDEE'S CINNAMON RAISIN BISCUITS
When I lived in the mid-west, I use to get these biscuits as a morning breakfast on occasion....well, on more occasions than I should have. I loved the warm tender biscuits with cinnamon swirlled in it and the sweet icing melting down. Having moved to California 12 years ago, I have really missed these as there are no Hardee's out here. I've found a copy cat recipe for it and I'm on cloud 9!! The person who posted this on another site said she use to work at Hardee's so this is the real-deal ! I can't wait to make these for my husband and kids!

Steps:
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and sugar.
- Blend in shortening with a fork until mixture is fine.
- Add milk and stir until just mixed. Only add enough milk to form dough. Add raisins and mix.
- Add cinnamon and mix until swirled through batter. Do not mix batter any more than you have to.
- Scrape batter onto well-floured surface. Flour top and pat down with hands until 1/2-inch thick.
- Cut with 2-inch cutter and place on greased baking pan.
- Bake at 400°F for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Frost with powdered sugar glaze icing.
HARDEE'S BISCUITS
This recipe was given to me by a friend who says it's the "real deal". I've never actually made these, so I cannot verify the recipe at all.

- Preheat oven to 450°.
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- Cut in wet ingredients and knead well.
- Cut into circles and place on baking sheet.
- Let rest 5 minutes before placing in oven.
- Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush with butter after removing from oven.

Fabulous copycat version of Hardees Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits! My family was upset when Hardees moved out of our area, but they're happy once again with these biscuits! I found this recipe on the internet.

Steps:
- Mix bisquick, buttermilk, raisins, cinnamon and sugar until dough forms. Turn onto a floured board and knead 1-2 minutes.
- Roll about 1/2" thick then cut into round biscuits. Brush tops with melted butter.
- Bake 8-10 minutes at 400* or until lightly browned (I'm guessing at the temperature!). Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze and enjoy!

Steps:
- For the biscuits:.
- combine ingredients until crumbly in bowl, then knead 3-4 times with your hands in the bowl. I start off with 1 cup half and half, then add by the tablespoon until the dough sticks together without being sticky.
- turn out onto a lightly floured counter-top and pat down with your hands to about 1 inch in thickness.
- use a biscuit cutter or the top of a glass to cut rounds and place on a baking sheet.
- collect the scraps and pat down to use all remaining dough - makes about 6 biscuits.
- bake at 400 for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- For the filling:.
- combine ingredients and cook on medium high until boiling and beginning to thicken.
- reduce heat to medium and cook for about 5 minutes, then turn off heat.
- Once biscuits have baked, hollow out the centers and fill with blueberry filling. Add a drizzle of glaze just before serving (combine glaze ingredients, stir until smooth and set aside until needed).
