GROUND BEEF GOULASH
Easy and filling meal perfect for freezing. Goes great with salad and brownies.

- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir beef, onion, and red bell pepper in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 7 to 10 minutes; drain and discard grease.
- Transfer beef mixture to a slow cooker; add beef broth, potatoes, carrots, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, paprika, hot sauce, and salt. Stir the mixture, making sure the potatoes remain submerged in liquid.
- Cook on Low for 4 hours.

GROUND BEEF-BACON GOULASH
Really you may use as much bacon as desired, the more the better, the chili flakes are only optional you may reduce to desired heat level or omit completely, a seeded and finely chopped jalapeno pepper works well also for this --- the ground beef/tomato sauce mixture is thick, if you prefer a thinner sauce add a little more tomato sauce to thin --- you may use any favorite pasta, I find that penne is the favorite for my family --- this is *very* good and even better warmed up the next day, but you probably will finish it off before then lol! :)

Steps:
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon pieces until crisp; remove and drain fat (I save the fat to use in recipes).
- Add in the ground beef, onion and bell pepper; cook over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain the grease.
- To the skillet with the ground beef add in the garlic, chili flakes, seasoned salt, black pepper and return the bacon to the skillet; cook stirring with a wooden spoon until the beef is slightly browned (about 8 minutes).
- Add in the two cans of undiluted tomato soup, tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, water and sliced mushrooms; stir and simmer uncovered over low heat for about 50 minutes (the longer you simmer the thicker and richer it will be, you can simmer up to 1-1/2 hours if desired).
- If the mixture is too thick then add in more water and simmer for more time.
- At this point you may season with more salt and pepper to taste if desired.
- Meanwhile cook the pasta in boiling water until al dente; drain.
- When the sauce has finished cooking mix in the cooked pasta, then sprinkle the top with grated cheese and place under the broiler to melt, or if your mixture is very hot the cheese will melt by itself.
- Spoon out of the skillet onto plates.

GROUND BEEF/VENISON GOULASH
My mother always made this for us when we were kids and now I am making this for my own family. It's easy, cheap and is great for leftovers. This is delicious by itself, or may be served with grated cheese. Add a tossed salad and garlic bread for a great family meal.

Steps:
- In a large pot, heat water to a boil.
- While waiting for the water to boil, in a medium to large sized skillet, heat olive oil on medium high heat; add onion, green pepper, minced garlic, and crushed red pepper and cook until onion is transparent.
- Add ground beef, salt and pepper, and cook mixture on medium high heat until no pink is showing in the meat; drain.
- Return the mixture to the skillet, add tomato sauce, and simmer.
- Cook macaroni according to directions on box then drain and rinse.
- Add macaroni to ground beef mixture and serve.

- Brown ground beef and diced onions in a large skillet. Drain excess grease if needed and add back to skillet. Season beef with salt and pepper.
- Add garlic, uncooked elbow macaroni, water, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar and Italian seasoning to the skillet with the ground beef. Stir until mixed.
- Cook over medium low heat at a low simmer until the elbow macoroni is cooked to desired texture, approximately 10 minutes. If the pasta soaks up all the liquid and isn't cooked through, add a little bit more water.
