I LOVE Red Lobster's GC Biscuits, so I wanted to try to make them at home. A friend of mine found me a drop biscuit recipe and then I added to it. These didn't last long that's for sure!!!

- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Stir in milk and 1/2 cup butter just until moistened. Add Cheese.
- Drop batter by tablespoon on lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Meanwhile, add garlic salt to remaining melted butter.
- Bake buscuits for 6 minutes.
- Remove biscuits, drizzle with garlic butter and return to oven for another 6-7 minutes, or edges are golden.
- After removing from oven but while still warm drizzle with garlic butter again.
- Serve and enjoy!

- Position a rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat to 425 degrees. Lightly mist a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Make the biscuits: Pulse the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a food processor. Add the shortening and pulse until combined. Add the butter; pulse 4 or 5 times, or until the butter is in pea-size pieces. Add the cheese and pulse 2 or 3 times. Pour in the milk and pulse just until the mixture is moistened and forms a shaggy dough. Turn out onto a clean surface and gently knead until the dough comes together. - Melt your butter and set it aside so it can begin to cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder.
- In a separate bowl (or in a large measuring cup) whisk slightly cooled butter into buttermilk (it's OK if the butter begins to re-solidify or the mixture looks curdled).
- Pour buttermilk mixture into flour mixture and stir until just-combined.
- Use a spoon or spatula to gently stir cheese into batter until incorporated.
- Using a pair of spoons, drop batter by heaping spoonfuls (about 3 Tbsp in size) onto prepared baking sheet, spacing at least 2" apart.
