FRUIT LOOPS CEREAL BARS

Steps:

• Add butter to large stock pot on stove top
• Using medium heat, melt butter
• Once butter is melted, add bag of marshmallows
• Stir marshmallows until completely melted
• Remove marshmallow/butter mixture from heat
• Pour in Fruit Loops
• Stir until cereal and marshmallow/butter are thoroughly mixed
• Pour mixture into 9x13 brownie pan
• Using a spatula, pat down mixture until it is evenly spread throughout the pan
• Allow treats to cool
• Cut, serve, and enjoy!

FROOT LOOP RICE KRISPIE TREATS

Steps:

• Lightly butter a 9×9 pan and set aside.
• In a large pot melt the butter over low heat. Once butter is melted add the 6 cups mini marshmallows and put a lid on the pan for a couple minutes. Remove lid and stir until marshmallows are mostly melted (it's ok if there are still a few small lumps).
• Remove from heat and stir in Froot Loops and Rice Krispies until almost coated. Toss in the extra 1 cup marshmallows (if using) and stir until combine.
• Pour mixture into prepared pan and press in evenly. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

PERFECT CRISPY RICE CEREAL TREATS (FRUIT FLAVORED)

Steps:

• Take a pan or baking dish approximately 13x 9 x2 inch size.
• Lay aluminum foil (or parchment paper or waxed paper) across your pan leaving the ends folded over the edges to to work as handles for when removing your crispy rice cereal treats when finished.
• Spray inside pan (including lining) with non-fat cooking spray.
• Use a large heavy saucepan to melt the butter over LOW HEAT for 2 minutes.
• Add half of the marshmallows and stir constantly over LOW HEAT to melt them. Be careful not to let them stick or burn to the bottom of the pan. It is essential that you do not rush this step!
• Remove the pan from the heat. Add to the pan half of the crispy rice cereal, then the other half of the marshmallows, and finally the other half of the crispy rice cereal.
• Stir gently but quickly with buttered or silicone spatula.
• Pour crispy rice mixture into prepared pan.
• Using waxed paper or buttered spatula or disposal gloves sprayed with cooking spray, firmly press the hot cookie mixture into the pan (the gloves truly work the best).
• Let crispy rice cereal mixutre cool until firm (approximately 45 minutes).
• Turn treats out of pan, peel off foil/paper and cut into squares.
• Store in an airtight container.
• TIp: Although I substitute low-fat and low-calorie products for almost everything that I make, this dish definitely turns out best using real butter, and premium quality marshmallows.
• Tip: If fruit flavored is not your thing, but chocolate and/or peanut butter is, you can substitute the fruit flavored marshmallows with plain mini-marshmallows and then add 3/4 cup of smooth peanut butter and/or 3/4 cups of chocolate chips when adding the second half of the marshmallows.
• Tip To speed up cooling place in freezer 15 minutes.
• Tip: Will last 2 days at room temperature or 6 weeks in the freezer.

FRUIT LOOP TREATS

Steps:

• Lightly butter a large heatproof bowl, add cereal and set aside. Lightly butter a 13x9" baking dish, then line with parchment paper, leaving a 2" overhang on long sides. Lightly butter parchment. Cook 3/4 cup butter in a large skillet over medium heat, swirling, until butter foams, then browns (be careful not to let it burn), 5-7 minutes. Add marshmallows and salt. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth, about 3 minutes. Mixture will have brown specks and almost look grayish in color, and that's ok!
• Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal scraping the pan to get all the mixture into the bowl. Stir with a large heatproof spatula or large spoon, scraping bottom of bowl and folding, until cereal is completely coated, mixture will get very sticky and thicken as it cools so work quickly. Scrape into prepared pan; then cover with a sheet of parchment paper. Press down firmly to make an even, compact layer (just don't press too hard or you'll break the loops!). Cover treats loosely with plastic and let sit until cool, about 2 hours.
• Just before serving, using parchment paper overhang, lift treats out of pan and place on a cutting board; remove parchment. Using a serrated knife, trim about 1/2" from all sides to make a squared-off rectangle, then cut into an 8x6 grid to make 24 squares.
• Do Ahead: Treats can be made 1 day ahead. Leave in pan. Store tightly wrapped at room temperature. Cut into squares just before serving.

Steps:

• Begin melting the butter in a medium-large saucepan set over low heat.
• Toss in the marshmallows and stir occasionally until about 75% of the marshmallows have melted.
• Remove the pan from the heat and continuously stir, smashing the marshmallows, allowing them to melt until smooth.
• Pour the cereal into a well buttered large bowl and pour the marshmallows over top.
• Toss to coat evenly.
• Gently press into a well buttered 8-inch or 9-inch square pan.
• Let cool for about an hour before cutting into 16 squares.

Steps:

• Grease a 9x13 baking pan.
• Add butter to a large pot on medium low until melted then mix in the marshmallows until they are just melted (do not let this sit while melted for too long or the bars will be brittle).
• Add in the Froot Loops and mix well until combined.
• Gently press the cereal mixture into the baking pan and allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Steps:

• Melt marshmallow and butter in a pot on medium low, stirring constantly until smooth.
• Pour Fruit Loops into the pot and quickly combine.
• While the marshmallow mixture is still hot pour out into 9x13 pan and spread evenly.

Steps:

• Melt the butter and marshmallows together in a large pot, stirring until smooth. Add vanilla if desired.
• In a large bowl, combine cereals. Pour marshmallow mixture over and stir until uniformly mixed.
• Press mixture into a sheet pan or 15x10 jelly roll pan. A spatula coated with cooking spray works well. Let cool until set, then cut into squares with a sharp knife.

Steps:

• Grease a 13x9x2 pan. Cooking spray, butter, OR margarine work well to grease the pan.
• Melt the butter and marshmallows together, either on a stove top on low or in the microwave until smooth. Remember to continue stirring through out the melting process. Remove from heat source once smooth.
• Add cereal and stir gently until it is well coated.
• Transfer mixture to the greased pan. Press mixture evenly into the pan using waxed paper, buttered spatula, or your hands which have been greased.
• When cooled cut into squares. These are best if you eat them the day they are made!

• Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan with cooking spray; set a side.
• In a large pot, over medium low heat add butter and melt. Once butter is melted add marshmallows and stir constantly until melted. Take off heat and quickly stir in the Fruit Loops cereal.
• Pour cereal mixture into prepared pan and smooth out with a spatula sprayed with cooking spray. You can also spray your hands with cooking spray and push cereal down into pan.
• Cool completely before cutting into bars.
