DRUNKEN STOVE TOP PORK CHOPS
Drunken Stove Top Pork Chops is one of the easiest dinner recipes for busy families. This is low-maintenance cooking at it's finest and seriously delicious with fall-apart-tender thin-cut pork chops. Even your kids will love it (don't worry, the alcohol cooks off)!

Steps:
- In a large skillet, heat 2 Tablespoons olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towel and season well with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In batches, sear each chop until browned on both sides, about 1-2 minutes per side and then place them into a side plate. Make sure you don't overload the pan!
- Once all the pork chops are browned and out of the pan, add the remaining Tablespoon of oil and then add sliced onion and smashed garlic.
- Season them with salt and pepper to taste and saute them stirring constantly for a minute or two.
- Next, add the wine to the pan and scrape up the brown bits with a wooden spoon to deglaze the pan.
- After the wine has simmered for a minute or two, add broth and tomato paste. Stir well to combine and add the pork chops back into the pan. Bring it to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium, cover and simmer for an hour, stirring periodically. If it starts to dry out, add a little water (I didn't run into this issue). Serve immediately after the hour is up.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Whisk together the soup, broth, rice, garlic powder, dried chives, and onion powder. Transfer to the prepared dish.
- Pat the pork chops dry; place on top of the rice. Sprinkle onion soup mix over the pork chops, to taste. If you don't like a strong onion flavor or if you don't want the chops too salty, use just a portion of the seasoning (not the whole packet).
- Cover dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Check the pork chops at this point. If they are done (and have reached an internal temperature of 145°F), remove them from the dish, cover with foil, and set aside to rest. Give the rice a stir. The rice will not be tender yet, so cover the dish again and return to the oven for about 25-30 more minutes, or just until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve with the pork chops. Garnish with herbs, if desired.

- Pour vegetable oil into pan about 1/4-1/2 inch deep, and place on medium high heated burner.
- Season pork chops with garlic salt and pepper.
- Cover pork chops on both sides with FLOUR.
- When oil is hot, brown pork chops on both sides.

- Return pork chops to the over and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Now is the time to make the rice.
- Prepare according to package directions.
- Take pork chops out of the oven and serve with gravy over rice.
- ENJOY!
FALL-APART TENDER PORK CHOPS
The title of the recipe says it all. I've made this many times for both friends and family and everyone that's tasted it has loved it. You need to use 1" or thicker boneless loin chops. I sometimes double the sauce because its so delicious. I wish I could take credit for this recipe, but its from my favorite cookbook, that will remain nameless since my dog ate the cover and I can't remember the title.

I'm posting this as a reply to someone who was looking for tender pork chops without using a crock pot. I've had this recipe for so long, probably even before there WERE crock pots! (BTW - this recipe can also be made in a crock pot.)
