MEATBALL MOZZARELLA STICKS RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:
- In a large bowl, add the beef, pork, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, beaten eggs, salt, pepper, dried basil, dried oregano, and dried parsley, red pepper flakes. Mix together to combine.
- Pick up 2 ounces (55 g) of meat, press into a flat patty on the palm of your hand.
- Place a mozzarella stick into the center of the patty and wrap the meatball mixture around it to seal it inside. Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
- Take the meatball-wrapped stick of cheese and dredge it in the flour, coat it in beaten egg, and then roll it in bread crumbs. Repeat with the rest.
- Place a batch of the sticks into oil at 325°F (180°C), and cook until the outside is golden brown and the beef is cooked through, 5 minutes. Then remove the mozzarella sticks from the fryer and drain on a wire rack. Season with salt.
- Serve the meatball mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce.

At the request of my lovely 12 year old daughter, I am posting these, one of her favorite foods. We searched for a recipe together and ended up adapting one to suit our tastes. Enjoy!

Steps:
- Whisk eggs and milk together.
- Coat each piece of cheese with flour, then dip in egg and then roll in bread crumbs.
- Dip in egg and crumbs again.
- Freeze before frying.
- Heat oil in skillet and cook sticks for about a minute on each side, or until golden and before cheese starts to leak.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve with sauce for dipping.

Steps:
- Cut the cheese into 8 3 1/2/x 1/2x1/2" sticks.
- Put flour into shallow dish and dredge the mozzarella sticks lightly in flour, shaking off the excess.
- One by one, dip in the beaten egg, coating completely, and then roll in bread crumbs to coat.
- Put the sticks on a plate and freeze for 15 minutes.
- Heat a deep fryer or heavy pot to 365 in 3 inches of oil.
- Fry the mozzarella sticks in 2 batches until golden brown, about 1 minute.
- Drain on paper towels and serve with hot marinara sauce.

- Lay the egg roll wrappers flat. Lay a piece of the thinly sliced cheese on top of the egg roll wrapper. From the corner of the wrapper, take your cheese stick and roll towards opposite corner tightly and cut off the extra material of the wrapper on the ends.
- Heat your skillet with oil to medium/high heat.
- Let each wrapper fry on each side for 30-45 seconds or until brown. You can put more than one stick in at a time.

- Slice the egg roll wrappers in half.
- Place a stick of string cheese on the edge of the egg roll wrapper, then fold the sides of the wrapper over the ends of the cheese.
- Wet the other edge of the wrapper with water, then roll it up tightly, pressing the edge to make sure it's sealed.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and cheese.
- Heat oil in a pot.
- Fry the sticks until golden brown, then drain on a paper towel.
- Serve with marinara.

- Lay out the egg roll wrappers one at a time.
- Place one piece of string cheese in the center near the edge, then arrange some pepperoni strips, mushrooms and green pepper around.
- Roll up the cheese string a little if needed.
