This recipe comes from a 3 volume set of holiday recipes. I used real pumpkin, the graham cracker pie crust, and have added Allspice to the original recipe. This pie is highly demanded by family and friends every year. It even turned a Non-pumpkin pie eater into a genuine fan!

Ingredients

2 cups real pumpkin (not canned)
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 keebler graham cracker pie crust (2 extra Servings size)

Steps:

Preheat Oven 425 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together, except pie crust.
Pour into Pie shell.
Put in oven set at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 35-40 minutes longer.
Do toothpick test, if it comes out clean it’s done!

1 premade graham cracker pie crust
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix together pumpkin, condensed milk, eggs, spices and salt.
Pour into ready made crust.
Bake 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees.
Bake another 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted 1 inch from crust comes out clean.
Cool.
Refrigerate leftovers.

Place the graham crackers in a food processor with a tablespoon of brown sugar and process it into crumbs. In the meantime, melt the butter, 2 tablespoons is all you need. Take the graham cracker crumbs and spoon them in small bowl, to which you will add the melted butter.
Use your fingers to mix it well. Distribute the crumb mixture into a 9 inch pie plate, the pie plate does not need to be greased. Using your fingers arrange the crumbs evenly on the bottom and up the sides. Let the pie plate cool in the fridge for 30 minutes, then bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
In the meantime, whisk all the egg whites using your electric mixer until stiff. Fold in the egg, brown sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice, canned pumpkin, and the evaporated milk. You can continue to mix it all with a spatula, or use the mixer to beat it until smooth.
