A popular American dessert that is made frequently in the Southern States. This light and delicious dish is very easy to make and can be easily customized to ones preferences.

Steps:
- In a chilled bowl, pour the cream and add sugar. Beat with a hand mixer or a whisk until stiff peak forms.
- Add sour cream to the whipped cream and gently fold it in.
- Prep all the fruit and mix them in a small bowl.
- At this point, you can either layer them into individual serving glasses to make ambrosia parfaits. Or toss everything in a big bowl for a even quicker dish.

- Place the cream and sugar into the bowl of a stand mixer with the whisk attachment and whip until stiff peaks are formed. Add the sour cream and whisk to combine. Add the marshmallows, orange, pineapple, coconut, pecans and cherries and stir to combine. Transfer to a glass serving bowl, cover and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.

I got this recipe from a friend of mine who served this for dessert one evening. My husband and I raved and now everyone needs to know! I originally had the recipe with peaches, but as noted below, you could really use any canned fruit.

- Break up angel food slices into quarters and place at bottom of bowl/glass (depending on how you want to serve it).
- Scoop frozen yogurt onto pound cake.
