Other mage builds take quite some time until the game isn't too difficult with them. But I wouldn't really recommend a cleric or sorcerer for the very first playthrough, because the good and cool spells are obtainable rather late in the game.

Dark builds are generally better for PvP than PvE because dark doesn't really have that big haymaker spell. Like sunlight spear, or CSS. Strength is my favorite physical build, but most physical builds function the same by and large. But I enjoy STR with the millwood ace and great club, then mix in a little greatbow action too.

Great Chaos Fire Orbs, with the Sage Ring, Witch's Ring, and the Great Swamp ring is also absolutely broken in PVE. Heavy Exile Greatsword, with the same rings for the Dex build works pretty good. I know pyromancy is really powerful, but idk about op. I'll leave a comment here to see what people come up with.

Great Farron Dart - You can cast this while rolling for finishing off weakened enemies safely. It does very low damage and this is it's main use in PVE. In PVP it's excellent for getting consistent, hard-to-dodge, small amounts of damage. Hidden Body - This makes running through levels supremely easy.

level 1. · 3 yr. ago. If you're using the twinblades, you're already using the most broken PvE weapon by a fairly large margin. Literally every other weapon is worse for PvE purposes. If you want to maximize what you're getting out of them, though, that's mostly equipment. Respec to 60 Dex, sharp infuse the twinblades.
