Homemade Frappuccino image

Sweet and creamy homemade Vanilla Bean Coffee Frappuccinos are easy to freeze and thaw when you need a caffeine fix and are craving Starbucks!

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 cups coffee (strong; use double the amount of coffee grounds when brewing the coffee)
2/3 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup whole milk
1/2 vanilla bean
2 teaspoons vanilla
8 cups ice

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Brew the strong coffee and let it chill. Use a refrigerator or freezer to speed up the process, or just let it chill in the fridge overnight.
  • Add the strong chilled coffee, milk, and sweetened condensed milk to a blender.
  • Split the vanilla bean. Use half of the split bean and scrape the seeds out. Place the seeds in the blender. Add in the vanilla extract. Fill the blender the rest of the way with ice (leaving a little room at the top for blending)
  • Blend until smooth. Serve with whipped cream. Frappuccinos can also be frozen in mason jars and kept in the freezer for up to 3 months!

2 tbsp instant coffee granules ((regular or decaf))
2 tsp fat free vanilla flavored coffee creamer ((powdered))
1/2 cup fat free milk
8-10 ice cubes

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients together in a blender and process until smooth. If desired, sweeten with Stevia.

1/2 cup espresso
3/4 cup soymilk
1 cup ice
3 (1 g) packets Splenda sugar substitute
1 tablespoon sugar-free vanilla syrup
3 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree
1 dash pumpkin pie spice (optional)

Steps:

  • Dissolve sugar and syrup in hot espresso.
  • Add milk and refridgerate until cold.
  • Put ice in blender and crush until mostly broken up.
  • Add cooled coffee, pumpkin, and pie spice if using.
  • Blend on high for 1 minute or until smooth.

The closest I can get to my Starbucks obsession - this recipe has saved me hundreds of dollars! Prep time includes steeping the coffee overnight.

3 cups water
3/4 cup ground coffee, coarsely ground (dark roast preferable, espresso even better!)
1 tablespoon Splenda sugar substitute
3/4 cup half & half light cream
3 cups ice
8 tablespoons sugar-free caramel syrup (plus more for drizzling)
fat-free whipped topping (or light or fat-free whipped cream)

Steps:

  • In a large jar or container, combine the coffee grounds and cold water. Stir, cover and let sit for at least 12 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Line a coffee dripper or fine-mesh strainer with a coffee filter and place over a pitcher. Slowly strain about half of the coffee. Replace the filter with a new one and repeat with the remaining coffee.
  • Combine coffee and all ingredients except whipped cream into electric blender.
  • Blend drink until ice is crushed and drink is smooth.
  • Serve in coffee cups and top with whipped cream and caramel syrup (if desired).
  • Add straw for ease in drinking.
