DELUXE CHEESEBURGER SALAD
I was planning to grill burgers, and then it dawned on me: How about a cheeseburger salad? The original recipe doesn't call for a tomato, but it's awesome here. -Pam Jefferies, Cantrall, Illinois

- In a large bowl, combine beef and steak seasoning, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into twenty 1/2-in.-thick patties. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat 3-4 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°., In a large bowl, combine lettuce, burgers, cheese, croutons, tomato, onion and pickles. Serve with salad dressing.Freeze option: Place patties on a waxed papper-lined baking sheet; cover and freeze until firm. Remove from pan and transfer to an airtight container; return to freezer. To use, cook frozen patties as directed, increasing time as necessary for a thermometer to read 160°.

CHEESEBURGER SALAD

- Brown the meat in a large skillet over medium heat, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove it from the heat and drain off the fat. Add the ketchup, barbecue sauce and mustards to the meat and stir to combine. Taste and add more of whatever you think it needs. Keep warm.
- Melt 1/4 stick (2 tablespoons) of the butter in a separate skillet over low heat, then add the bun cubes and toss to coat. Toast the croutons in the skillet over low heat for 10 to 12 minutes, adding 1/4 stick (2 tablespoons) of butter every couple of minutes until you've used the whole stick. (This will ensure all the croutons soak up the butter and toast nicely.)
- To assemble: Pile some torn lettuce on each plate. Pile on a good quantity of the meat mixture, then top with plenty of grated Cheddar. Add diced tomato, chunks of pickles and slices of red onion over the top. Finish by sprinkling warm croutons all around the plate. Serve immediately.

- Preheat an oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- Arrange the strips in a single layer on a baking sheet, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the strips are lightly toasted. Set the strips aside.
- Place the ground beef into a skillet over medium heat, and brown the meat for about 10 to 12 minutes, breaking the beef apart as it cooks, until the meat is well browned and no longer pink inside. Stir the chopped onion, ketchup, dill pickle, and mustard into the beef mixture and mix well.
- Arrange the chopped lettuce on a large serving platter, and spoon the beef mixture over the lettuce. Top the salad with the sliced onion, plum tomatoes, and shredded cheese, and arrange the hamburger bun croutons around the platter.

- Preheat oven to 425°F Slice bun tops into ¼-in. strips (if bun tops are very thick, slice bottoms off horizontally before slicing into strips). Arrange in a single layer on large pan; bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly toasted. Remove to Stackable Cooling Rack; cool completely.
- Slice half of the onion crosswise into thin rings. Remove and discard stems from tomatoes; cut tomatoes into quarters lengthwise and slice crosswise. Set onion and tomatoes aside.
- Cook ground beef in (8-in.) Sauté Pan over medium-high heat 5-7 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking beef into crumbles.
- Chop remaining onion half using Food Chopper. Finely dice pickles.
- In Bowl, combine chopped onion, pickles, ketchup and mustard. Add cooked ground beef; mix well.
- To serve, arrange lettuce on large serving platter. Spoon beef mixture over lettuce.
- Top with cheese, tomatoes and sliced onion. Arrange hamburger bun croutons around edge of platter. Serve immediately.

DELUXE CHEESEBURGER COOKIES
These tiny deluxe cheeseburger cookies are a big hit for a cute office treat, a barbecue, or a birthday party. This tiny burger is complete with all the fixin's!

- Prepare the "ketchup" and "mustard" by coloring small amounts of frosting red and orange.
- Prepare the "tomatoes" and "pickles" by cutting the gumdrops into the desired shapes and sizes. I cut the red drops horizontally to create tomato slices and I cut the green drops in half and then make little cylinders and slice thinly to create the pickles.
- Prepare "lettuce" by putting the coconut in a zip-top bag with a few drops of green food coloring and a couple drops of water. Shake bag until all shreds of coconut are the desired shade of green.
- Prepare the "cheese" by cutting the fruit roll ups to the desired size, use a vanilla wafer as a guide for the size.
- Prepare the tops of the "buns" by taking all the whole cookies out of one box, round side up, and dabbing a bit of honey on. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on every cookie.
- Now assemble the rest of the cookie (this is where you can bring the kids in to help). Empty the second box of cookies with the rounded side down. On each cookie dab a bit of the untinted frosting and stick a peppermint patty cookie to the bottom "bun" to create the "hamburger patty".
- Put a dab of frosting on the "hamburger patty" and put a pinch of the "lettuce" on.
- Place a "tomato" slice on top of the lettuce and two or three "pickle" slices on top of the tomato.
- Spread "ketchup" and "mustard" on the top "bun" and place on top of the assembled bottom portion.
