EASY BBQ CHICKEN
Juicy BBQ chicken breasts basted with a sweet, sticky homemade BBQ sauce is a delicious and easy chicken recipe perfect for dinner.

Steps:
- Combine the BBQ sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and set over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Combine the seasonings for the chicken then dust the chicken on both sides with the spice mixture, making sure the chicken is completely covered.
- Cook the chicken on a hot grill (or a griddle pan on the stove), basting with the BBQ sauce continuously until the chicken is sticky, glossy and cooked through. Approximately 5-6 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the heat and allow to rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

- Preheat oven to 350°. In a nonstick skillet coated lightly with oil, brown chicken over medium heat. Transfer to a 13x9-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray., Recoat skillet with oil. Add onion; cook and stir over medium heat until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Pour over chicken. , Bake, uncovered, until a thermometer inserted in chicken reads 170°, 35-45 minutes.

- To make a roux, in a medium pot over medium heat, add butter. When melted, add flour and whisk ingredients constantly for about 3 minutes.
- Pour in cold chicken broth, whisking constantly until well incorporated. Add ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, white vinegar, hot sauce, hot paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper; whisk well and increase heat to high.
- When it boils, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- About 5 minutes before time is up, add heavy cream, whisk and cook for the remaining time.
