DEEP FRIED OREOS WITHOUT PANCAKE MIX
The easiest Deep Fried Oreos recipe made without boxed pancake mix! This sinfully indulgent sweet treat is something your guests will never forget. Leave the guilt at the door and grab a glass of cold milk. Life is too short.

Steps:
- Add about 3 inches of oil into a saucepan and heat to 375°F. (Use a thermometer to help.)
- Add your pancake batter ingredients to a bowl and mix until JUST incorporated. Lumps are okay.
- When your oil is hot and ready, use a fork to coat Oreo cookies fully in the batter one at a time and drop each carefully into the hot oil. Separate them if they stick to each other.*Don't toss all your Oreos into the batter at once. They will get soggy and fall apart before frying.
- Fry cookies in batches of 3-5. Don't overcrowd your pan! You are simply looking for the exterior to turn golden brown to tell you when they're ready. (About 30-60 seconds)
- Cool fried Oreos on paper towels or a wire rack and sift with powdered sugar if desired. Serve immediately.°

This is a carnival favorite where I grew up. Oreos get dipped into pancake batter and fried - yummy!! You can do this with or without a deep fryer.

Steps:
- Heat oil in deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Whisk together the egg, milk, and 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil in a bowl until smooth. Stir in the pancake mix until no dry lumps remain. Dip the cookies into the batter one at a time, and carefully place into the hot frying oil. Fry only 4 or 5 at a time to avoid overcrowding the deep fryer. Cook until the cookies are golden-brown, about 2 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate before serving.

Okay, I know this is strange but it is in response to a request on the boards. Actually looks interesting and if you're going to blow calories on Oreos why not have them deep fried to boot? :)

Steps:
- Preheat deep fryer to 375 degrees F.
- Combine pancake mix, milk, eggs and oil.
- Mix until there are no lumps.
- Dip Oreos into batter, make sure both sides are covered and put the Oreos into the deep fryer.
- You will need to watch these as the cookies tend to float- so be sure to turn them.
- Also be careful that they don't burn- you just want them golden brown.
- Remove the cookies and drain well.
- The cookies are best straight out of the deep fryer!
DEEP FRIED OREOS
I had these at a local county fair and just had to try to make them. They are delicious.You can substitute your favorite dry pancake mix for the Bisquick. They are best when eaten warm. If you are want to try a lighter version, use lowfat milk, canola oil, and reduced fat Oreos.

Steps:
- Blend Bisquick, eggs, milk, and 3 tsp oil until smooth.
- Preheat your deep fryer to about 375°F (use a thermometer if you wish to deep fry in a pan).
- Dip the cookies in the batter mixture until totally covered and then place in the hot oil (cookies will float).
- Keep checking and turn over the cookie when bottom side of Oreo is brown.
- Keep a close watch because it only takes a short time to brown.
- Remove cookies and eat warm.
