Cran Strawberry Cooler Food

CRAN-STRAWBERRY COOLER

Steps:

• In a blender, combine the juices, six strawberries, ice and sugar if desired. Cover and process until smooth. Serve in chilled glasses. Garnish with remaining strawberries.

FRESH CRANBERRY COSMO

Steps:

• Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake until the granita melts completely. Pour into a martini glass and serve immediately.
• Place the water, cranberries and sugar into a small saucepan, set over medium-high heat and simmer until the berries begin to pop, approximately 7 minutes. Remove from the heat. Puree with a stick blender, blender or food processor, for 1 minute. Pass the mixture through a fine mesh strainer directly into a metal 13 by 9-inch pan. Do not press on the skins. Simply allow the juice to drip through the strainer. Add the zest and stir to combine. Place in the freezer until set, at least 6 hours and up to overnight. Once frozen, scrape the mixture with a fork to create a shaved ice texture. Serve immediately.

CRANBERRY COOLER

Steps:

• In a pitcher, combine the juices, sugar and extract. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Just before serving, stir in ginger ale.

STRAWBERRY-MINT COOLER

Steps:

• In food processor, process 4 cups of the strawberries and the sugar with on-and-off motions until smooth.
• Pour pureed strawberries into large pitcher. Slice remaining 1 cup strawberries; set aside.
• Just before serving, stir in ice, carbonated beverage, sliced strawberries and mint.

CRAN-DANDY COOLER

Steps:

• In a gallon pitcher combine cranberry juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, cherry juice and lemon juice. Just before serving, slowly add ginger ale; stir to blend. Serve over ice in cups or glasses. Garnish with cherry and orange slices.

CRANBERRY CONSERVE

Steps:

• Drain liquid from strawberries into 3-quart saucepan, reserving berries. Add sugar and water, bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add cranberries, ginger, peel and cinnamon. Return to boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in reserved strawberries. Remove from heat, cool. Spoon into jars, cover and refrigerate up to 1 month. Serve as accompaniment to hot or cold meats or poultry.

STRAWBERRY COOLER

Steps:

• In a blender, blend strawberries, whiskey, Southern Comfort, lemon juice and, if desired, sugar for 10 seconds. Add cracked ice and blend for 15 seconds. Pour into a chilled 12-ounce glass. Garnish with the slice of orange.

STRAWBERRY-CRAN COOLER

Steps:

• Combine strawberries, cranberry juice, and honey in blender and run on highest speed to puree strawberries.
• Once berries are smooth, and while blender is running, add ice and allow to blend until smooth.
• Remove from blender base; add ginger ale.
• Stir briefly, pour into chilled glasses and decorate with a whole strawberry or slice on the rim of the glass.
• Serve immediately and enjoy.
