I've been making this one for years and people go absolutely nuts for it!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 pkg imitation crabmeat
3/4 c mayonaise
3/4 c sour cream
1/4 c dehydrated onions
1 Tbsp cocktail sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Cut up and flake the crabmeat.
  • 2. In a bowl, mix the mayonaise, sour cream and onions together.
  • 3. Add the crabmeat and the cocktail sauce. Mix together well.
  • 4. Refrigerate about 1 hour before serving with crackers.

3/4 cup catsup
1/8 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 cup crabmeat, Flaked, OR
6 ounces crabmeat, Flaked, Drain Well
1 cup cream cheese, Softened
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
3 tablespoons white onions, Diced

Steps:

  • Combine the catsup, horseradish and hot sauce.
  • Remove any remaining filament from the crabmeat.
  • Add the crabmeat to the catsup mixture and continue to blend.
  • Add all other ingredients and blend till smooth.
  • Serve at room temperature.
  • SUGGESTED DIPPERS: Salty Potato Chips, Potato Skins, Green Bell Peppers, Turnips

This is a great make-ahead dish to serve to a crowd. I always get requests for the recipe any time I serve it.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (250 g) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Miracle Whip or 1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 (170 g) cans crabmeat or 2 (170 g) cans shrimp
1 (250 ml) jar seafood cocktail sauce
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped green onion
2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
crackers or tortilla chips, for dipping

Steps:

  • Mix softened cream cheese and miracle whip together until smooth.
  • Spread into a deep serving dish (at least 2 inches deep).
  • Mix the drained crabmeat and the cocktail sauce together and then spread over cream cheese layer.
  • Sprinkle chopped green pepper, green onion and tomato over crab layer.
  • Cover vegetable layer with grated cheese, cover and refrigerate.
  • Serve with crackers or tortilla chips for dipping.
  • Can be made 1 day ahead and stored in refrigerator.

1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
1 lb imitation crabmeat, chunks broken up
chopped fresh parsley (optional)
crackers or cut up vegetables

Steps:

  • In small mixer bowl beat sour cream and cream cheese with an electric mixer on low speed until creamy.
  • Stir in celery, onion, and lemon juice, if desired.
  • Fold in crabmeat.
  • Garnish with parsley, if desired.
  • Serve with crackers or cut up veggies.
