SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK SALAD DRESSING

I know there is the Edmonds Cookbook version of this dressing but this is the one that I grew up with and its slightly different, it came from the back of the highlander condensed milk tin, I still make it today and it seems to keep indefinately in the fridge, great with everything.

Ingredients

1 (395 g) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup salad oil
1 cup cider vinegar
4 egg yolks
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

Place all ingredients in a food processor and combine for a minute or until everything is well mixed.
Pour into bottles.
Makes approx 750ml.

When I was stationed overseas in Sembach, Germany, all of the restaurants served this salad dressing. So simple and so tasty. It's slightly creamy and very tangy. Don't worry if it seems watery, it's supposed to be that way! If you like more of a sweeter dressing, try using evaporated milk instead.

5 fluid ounces half-and-half cream
2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon granular no-calorie sucralose sweetener (such as Splenda®)

Steps:

Whisk the half-and-half, vinegar, salt, and sweetener together in a bowl until the sweetener is dissolved.
