These beans are so simple and so delicious. Hard to believe something so simple could be so good. It's a slowwwww cooker recipe so allow time. Use "Classic Coke" it's the best. I don't do the alternate thing because the bacon get mixed up stirring as they cook.

COLA BAKED BEANS

Cola Baked Beans image

This recipe is from all recipes by ohhcandy. Candy says, "This is a favorite at potlucks and barbeques! I've often wondered if I get invited for my company or my Cola Beans! I've tried several different brands of colas, but have found that the brand in the red can works best. I like to pre-cook the bacon about half-way so it doesn't make the beans too greasy, but it's not necessary. This recipe can also be cooked in a conventional oven at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour."

SODA BAKED BEANS

Soda Baked Beans image

This recipe can also be done in a crockpot, or it can be cooked in the oven! Don't use the sugar-free soda for this. The fresh garlic can be replaced with 1 teaspoon garlic powder if desired, this is best if made a day ahead to blend the flavors, refrigerate then warm over low heat on top of the stove.
