You'll need just seven basic ingredients to stir up a batch of these delicious diamond-shaped bars. "They're simple to fix for a bake sale or when your kids want a snack," says Lois Lipker of Ormand Beach, Florida.

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large egg yolks
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolks. Gradually add flour until blended., Spread into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 325° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown., Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake 1 minute longer or until chips are melted. Spread chocolate over crust. Sprinkle with walnuts and coconut. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into diamond shapes.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 1/3 cups flour
2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 large egg
2 cups chocolate chips, divided
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (10 ounce) package Skor English toffee bits, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour and brown sugar.
  • Cut in the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add the egg and mix well.
  • Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate chips.
  • Reserve 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture, and press the rest into the greased pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Pour the condensed milk evenly over the hot crumb crust.
  • Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups of toffee bits.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining crumb crust mixture and the other 1/2 cup of chocolate chips over the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the rest of the toffee bits (1/4 cup).
  • Cool on a wire rack and cut into bars.
  • Bless Miller with every bite!

1 1/2 cups graham wafer crumbs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 (300 ml) can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1 cup toffee pieces
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F Line 13x9-inch baking pan with foil.
  • In a medium bowl, combine crumbs and butter, mix well and press into prepared pan. Pour Eagle Brand over crumbs. Top with toffee bits, chocolate chips and nuts. Press down firmly. Bake 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Cool well before cutting. Remove from pan, peel off foil. Cut into bars.
  • Store at room temperature.

¼ cup white sugar
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (6 ounce) package almond brickle chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Mix sugars, butter and shortening until light and fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir in chocolate chips and brickle chips.
  • Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Make 9-10 minutes until lightly brown.

Steps:

  • 1) Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT chocolate chips and pecans in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often until well mixed. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips by hand.
  • 2) Spread batter into ungreased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips. Allow chocolate to melt slightly (2 to 3) minutes. Spread chocolate over bars; sprinkle with pecans. Cool completely. Cut into diamond-shaped bars.

  • Preheat oven 375,& lightly butter 2 heavy large baking sheets.

  • Stir in chocolate chips, nuts and toffee.
  • Beat cream in separate large bowl until stiff peaks form; fold into dry ingredients.
  • Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead gently until a soft dough forms.

  • Brush with melted butter.
