POPPY SEED CHICKEN & NOODLE CASSEROLE

I looked all around and couldn't find this recipe that came with noodles. I can't imagine it without noodles!

2 -3 cups cooked chicken (I use the fully cooked rotisserie chicken from the store)
16 ounces sour cream
10 ounces cream of chicken soup
35 Ritz crackers (one whole package)
16 ounces wide egg noodles
1/2 cup butter
poppy seed

Steps:

  • Cook a little over half the bag of egg noodles until done.
  • In a bowl,combine the chicken, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream. Mix well.
  • In a 9x13 take a small chunk of cold butter and rub the bottom of the pan. This insures that the noodles will not stick or become crispy. (I find that this is the only way that works for me. Using spray Pam has always made my noodles on the side crispy.)
  • Spread noodles over greased pan.
  • Spread the chicken mixture on top making sure to cover all the noodles well.
  • Melt the stick of butter and crumble the whole package of Ritz crackers in it and mix until crackers are saturated. Spread on top of chicken mixture.
  • Sprinkle Poppy Seeds on top.
  • Cook uncovered at 350 for 30 minute or until hot.

3 cups chopped cooked chicken
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
1 tablespoon poppy seed
1 1/2 cups crushed crushed round buttery crackers (40 crackers)
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted

Steps:

  • Combine the first 4 ingredients and spoon into a lightly greased baking dish.
  • Combine crushed crackers and butter.
  • Sprinkle over chicken mixture.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 30 minutes.

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
3 tubes Ritz crackers (crushed)
1 cup margarine (melted)
3 tablespoons poppy seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Boil chicken until done and cut into bite size pieces.
  • In a large bowl stir together the sour cream and both cans of soup.
  • Stir in chicken.
  • In a seperate bowl, mix crackers, poppy seeds and melted butter until evenly coated.
  • Line the bottom of a large casserole dish with half of the cracker mix.
  • Pour chicken mix on top of cracker mix.
  • Top with the remaining cracker mix.
  • Bake for 40 minutes.

3 lbs cooked chicken, boneless and skinless
2 cans cream of chicken soup
8 ounces sour cream
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup oleo
1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon poppy seed
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
2 cups uncooked rice
2 chicken bouillon cubes

Steps:

  • Boil chicken or cook in microwave until juices run clear.
  • Prepare rice according to package directions but add bouillon to water.
  • Place rice in bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  • Arrange chicken pieces over rice.
  • Blend soups, milk, sour cream and pepper in medium bowl.
  • Sprinkle chicken with pouiltry seasoning and pour soup mixture over chicken and rice.
  • Melt butter, add bread crumbs and poppy seeds.
  • Sprinkle over all.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.

boneless skinless chicken breast half
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
2 tablespoons dry sherry
salt and pepper
8 ounces Ritz crackers, crushed
1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1/2 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1.Preheat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • 2.Place the diced chicken breasts on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish sprayed with a nonstick cooking spray. In a bowl combine the soup, sour cream and sherry. Pour or spoon mixture over the chicken. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
  • 3.Mix the poppy seeds and crushed crackers and sprinkle mixture over the chicken, salt and pepper. Drizzle the melted butter or margarine over the cracker/poppyseed layer and bake covered in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes (take cover off for the last 5 minutes). Let stand a few minutes before servings.

3/4 cup sour cream
1 can of Cream of Chicken Soup
1 cup of crushed Ritz Crackers - approximately 3/4 a sleeve
1/4 cup melted butter
1 Tablespoon Poppy Seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350*F
  • Spray an 8x8 casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • Shred boneless chicken or turkey meat and toss into a medium bowl.
  • Add sour cream, cream of chicken soup and poppy seeds to the chicken. Mix well.
  • Spread chicken mixture into prepared casserole dish.
  • In a small bowl combined crushed Ritz crackers and melted butter. Mix well.
  • Spread cracker mixture over chicken mixture.
