Chicken And Brown Rice Medley Food

CRISPY RICE CEREAL-COATED FRIED CHICKEN

Steps:

• Pour the oil halfway up the sides of a very large cast-iron skillet. Heat the oil to 350 degrees F.
• Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Line a second rimmed baking sheet with a cooling rack. While the oil heats, combine the flour and House Seasoning in a shallow dish. Whisk together the milk and eggs in a separate shallow dish. Place the crushed cereal in a third shallow dish. Season the cereal with salt and pepper.
• Sprinkle the drumsticks with salt and pepper. Dip the chicken in the seasoned flour and coat completely. Dip in the egg mixture, then dredge in the rice cereal, pressing to coat evenly. Place on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
• Fry the chicken, in batches, in the hot oil until golden brown and an instant-read thermometer inserted in the thickest portion (avoiding bone) registers 165 degrees F, 18 to 20 minutes. Remove to the wire rack to drain.
• Stir together the garlic and onion powders, paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Store in an airtight container.

BROWN RICE AND CHICKEN

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°F.
• Spray 3 quart baking dish with vegetable spray.
• Combine ingredients.
• Place in dish.
• Bake for 15-20 minutes.

CHICKEN, VEGETABLE AND RICE MEDLEY

Steps:

• In small bowl, mix paprika, all-purpose seasoning and red pepper; set aside.
• In 12-inch skillet, heat oil and butter over high heat until butter is melted. Add chicken and half of the paprika mixture; cook and stir over high heat until chicken is white. Remove chicken from skillet; set aside.
• Add bell peppers and onion to skillet; cook and stir 1 minute. Stir in mushrooms, tomatoes and remaining paprika mixture; cook and stir 1 minute. Stir in chicken, uncooked rice and seasoning mixes (from Chicken Helper boxes) and broth. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.

CHICKEN FRIED BROWN RICE

Steps:

• Heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil.
• Add chicken, red pepper, and green onion.
• Cook 5 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
• Remove to plate.
• Heat remaining tablespoon of oil in skillet.
• Add cooked rice; cook 1 minute.
• Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, and peas; cook 1 minute.
• Stir in chicken and vegetable mixture.
• *NOTE: Simmer, covered, 1 cup brown rice in 2-1/2 cups water for 45 minutes.

CHICKEN, LEEK & BROWN RICE STIR-FRY

Steps:

• Heat the oil in a frying pan over a high heat and fry the chicken for 3 mins. Stir in the chorizo and cook for 2 mins more until the chicken is light golden and the chorizo has released its fat. Scoop the chicken and chorizo into a bowl using a slotted spoon, leaving as much oil in the pan as you can. Set aside.
• Tip the leek and red pepper into the pan and cook for 2 mins, stirring frequently until slightly softened. Add the kale and fry for 1 min more until the leaves have just started to wilt at the edges.
• Drizzle in the soy sauce and vinegar and scatter in the rice, breaking up any large chunks with a wooden spoon. Stir the chicken and chorizo back into the pan and toss everything together to combine. Cook for 3 mins until the rice is heated through, then serve.

BROWN AND WILD RICE MEDLEY

Steps:

• In a large saucepan, cook rice mix according to package directions, omitting butter., Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, saute onion and green beans in oil for 2 minutes. Add the mushrooms, carrots and pepper; saute 3-5 minutes longer or until vegetables are tender. Add vegetables and almonds to cooked rice; stir until blended.

CHICKEN & BROWN RICE PRIMAVERA

Steps:

• Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken and garlic; cook and stir 5 min. or until chicken is lightly browned.
• Add broth, vegetables and black pepper; stir. Bring to boil.
• Stir in rice. Return to boil; cover. Simmer on low heat 5 min. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 min. Stir in cheese.
