This is a fun and flavorful loaf that will please the palates of those who like pizza. The sauce and cheese really star.-Jim Hopkins, Whittier, California

2 eggs
1 jar (14 ounces) pizza sauce, divided
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add 3/4 cup of pizza sauce, cheese, bread crumbs, garlic salt and pepper; mix well. Combine beef and sausage; add to egg mixture and mix well. Press into a 9x5-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1-1/4 hours. Drain. Spoon remaining pizza sauce over meat loaf; bake 15 minutes longer or until no pink remains. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.

2 pound ground beef
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 can (8 ounces) pizza sauce, divided
1 cup saltine crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Additional pizza sauce, warmed, optional

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine beef, eggs, 3/4 cup pizza sauce, crumbs, Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, onion, green pepper, salt, oregano and pepper; mix well. Pat into a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes. Drain. Spread the remaining pizza sauce over loaf; bake 10 minutes more. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella; return to the oven for 3-4 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve with additional pizza sauce if desired.

This Stuffed Meatloaf is made with ground beef, Italian sausage, and pizza seasonings and stuffed with cheese for the BEST Meatloaf recipe.

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 pound Italian sausage
1 cup pizza sauce (divided)
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
2 eggs (whisked)
1 teaspoon oregano
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
8 ounces 1 cup shredded or sliced Mozzarella or Provolone cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Mix together eggs, bread crumbs, salt, oregano, parsley, parmesan, and 1/3 cup pizza sauce together until well combined.
  • Add in ground beef and sausage and gently combine, being careful to not overmix your meatloaf mixture.
  • Flatten and top with 2/3 cup mozzarella or provolone cheese.
  • Roll meat around cheese and shape into a loaf.
  • Place meat on broiler pan or loaf pan and top with remaining sauce and cheese.
  • Bake for 1 hour, or until the center reaches 165 degrees.
  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes and then slice and serve.

1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 tablespoon dried basil
1/2 tablespoon dried parsley
1/2 tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, very finely chopped
1 (14 ounce) can pizza sauce
1/2-1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except for the pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  • Put mixed beef, into a well-sprayed loaf pan.
  • Spread the pizza sauce on the meatloaf, then top evenly with mozzarella cheese. Place pan in oven and bake at 375 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
  • Remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
