CHEESY BAKED HASH BROWN PATTIES RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:
- Peel and grate the potatoes.
- Drop shredded potatoes into a large bowl of ice water to remove surface starch.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200˚C).
- Strain or squeeze potato shreds and transfer to a large bowl.
- Add butter, cheese, eggs, chives, garlic salt, oregano, and pepper in with the shredded potatoes. Mix together.
- Take a handful of the mixture and pack it on a baking sheet into desired hash brown shape.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm.

Steps:
- Place the whole potatoes in a large pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer until half-cooked and almost tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let sit until cool enough to handle. Slip the skins from the potatoes and cut into 1/2-inch dice.
- Heat the oil and melt the butter in a skillet over high heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes. Add the garlic, and cook, stirring, for 20 seconds. Add the potatoes, Essence, thyme, salt, and pepper, and cook without stirring, but shaking the pan occasionally to keep from burning, until the potatoes begin to color and crisp on the underside, about 4 minutes. Turn the potatoes with a spatula being careful not to mash, and continue cooking until uniformly golden.
- Remove from the pan and serve hot.
- Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight jar or container.
CROCK POT CHEESY HASH BROWNS PATTIES
Very easy and a quickly cooked side dish made in the crock pot: dump and go. Serve these at breakfast or as a side dish at dinner; or double the recipe and eat for dinner and serve as leftovers with tomorrow mornings breakfast. This recipe worked out great for me because I had to use up some hash brown patties; the standard ingredient usually called for in this dish is the hash browned potatoes. This recipe is courtesy of "Fix It and Forget It" crock pot cookbook.

EASY CHEESY BAKED HASH BROWNS CASSEROLE
A delicious side dish for main dinners. Good with anything from hamburgers to pork chops to chicken. Has an addictive quality and kids love it!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Lightly grease a 9 x 13 oblong baking dish.
- Mix until well blended, sour cream, mushroom soup and salt and pepper, set aside.
- With a grater, shred 2 cups of cheddar cheese.
- In a large bowl pour in frozen hash browns and cheddar cheese and mix well.
- Add in in sour cream mixture and be sure to stir together until well blended.
- Mixture may seem a little dry but trust in that it will be moist when it has finished baking.
- Pour into baking dish, pat down with a large spoon and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until it has cooked through and lightly browned all over.
- Personally all the ingredients I use are no-name products. I shred my own cheese because it is cheaper and add different types of cheese for different flavours. Use your imagination and mix it up a little but make sure you use a creamed soup.
- You can reduce the ingredients by half if your serving a smaller family or if that just happens to be all you have left in your fridge and/or freezer. You can also make it ahead of time and put it in the freezer so you can just pop it into the oven. For an extra large gathering, just double up on the recipe.
- Remember it is addictive and it makes a great late night snack heated up in the microwave.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Mix potatoes, sour cream, Cheddar cheese, cream of celery soup, onion, 1/4 cup butter, white pepper, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl; spread into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle corn flakes and cheese-flavored crackers over potato mixture and drizzle remaining butter over the top.

DELUXE CORNED BEEF HASH
I purposely cook a whole corned beef just to make hash. There's nothing like the taste of fresh versus canned hash. This is also good for leftover St. Paddy's Day corned beef. I throw the carrot in for color, claiming it's the Leprechaun's gold. Serve with fried eggs and brown soda bread (farls).
