1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/3 cup OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits
3 green onions, sliced

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix all ingredients in large bowl.
  • Spread into 9-inch pie plate.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers.

Recipe video above. This warm dip is really creamy, super cheesy and loaded with bacon. It takes minutes to make in the microwave! Serving it in a bread bowl is optional - I love it because I love tearing into the dip soaked bread. This makes around 4 1/2 - 5 cups of dip. Plenty!

350 g / 12 oz bacon (, chopped)
250 g / 8 oz cream cheese (, softened)
1 cup sour cream ((preferably full fate))
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp garlic powder ((or sub with onion powder))
1 cup shredded tasty or cheddar cheese ((Note 1))
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese ((Note 1))
1 cup shallots / scallions (, chopped (~4 - 5 stalks))
1 round cob bread ((sourdough works best))
5 Jatz / Ritz or other plain savoury cracker (, crushed (Note 2))
Oil spray
Crackers (, chips, toasted bread)

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in a non stick skillet / fry pan over high heat until browned. Transfer to paper towel lined plate to drain.
  • Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream and garlic powder together in a heat proof bowl.
  • Stir through most of the bacon, all the cheese and most of the shallots. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. The dip may look like the oil from the cheese has separated. Just stir well and it will come (and stay) together.
  • If serving as is, pour into a serving bowl, top with remaining bacon and shallots.
  • Serve with crackers, chips and the bread you pulled out to create the bread bowl (I toast it).

4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup half-and-half cream
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

16 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
Tortilla chips or toasted French bread slices

Steps:

It can also be used as a spread on crackers. The receipe has been tweaked many times and is now relatively low-fat for a snack of this type. Enough for 30 to 50 enthusiastic friends! Keeps well in refrigerator for several days.

16 ounces low fat cottage cheese
16 ounces reduced-fat sour cream
12 ounces soft light cream cheese
1/2 cup marinade ("Claud's Barbecue Brisket Marinade Sauce," a liquid marinade found in supermarkets near the barbecue)
1 1/2 cups hormel real crumbled bacon

Steps:

  • Beat cottage cheese with mixer until smooth. As an alternate method, the cottage cheese can be pureed in a blender.
  • Combine sour cream, cream cheese, and pureed cottage cheese in large mixer bowl.
  • Mix first on low and then on medium until thoroughly creamed together. Scrape sides of bowl as needed.
