DOGGIE BIRTHDAY CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 6 cup ring mold.
• Combine the egg, peanut butter, oil, vanilla, and honey, if desired, in a large bowl; blend well. Stir in the carrots and mix thoroughly. Sift together the flour and baking soda and fold into the carrot mixture. Spoon cake batter into prepared pan.
• Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes; then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

CARROT CAKES FOR DOGS

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, oats, oat bran, sunflower seeds and carrots. In a small bowl, beat the egg together with the oil, milk and maple syrup. Now, pour the egg mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well.Pour mixture into greased muffin pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes (for miniature muffins) or bake 25 to 30 minutes (for regular-sized muffins). Tip: When a cake tester (or toothpick) comes out clean, turn off the heat and leave muffins in oven until completely cooled.

DOG FRIENDLY CARROT CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°F
• Grease two 5-inch cake pans with non-stick cooking spray, set aside
• Add the oats to the bowl of your food processor, process on high until oats are a fine, flour-like consistency
• Add the baking powder and cinnamon (if you are using it), pulse to combine
• Add the carrots, greek yogurt, milk, eggs, olive oil and honey, process on high until everything is fully combined
• Split the cake mixture evenly between the 2 cake pans, it will not even fill the pan half way (the cake layers are meant to be thin)
• Place the cakes in the oven and bake for about 18 minutes until the cake is set in the middle and cooked through
• Remove from oven and cool completely before frosting
