Hamburger casserole recipe is the best combination of hearty ground beef, pasta and a creamy sauce. You can serve this with little prep work on busy nights.

1 pound ground beef
½ cup white or yellow onion (chopped)
2 8 ounce cans tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1 - 16 ounce bag wide egg noodles
1 cup small curd cottage cheese
1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
¼ cup sour cream
¼ shredded Parmesan cheese (plus more for topping)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Spray a 13x9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray
  • While cooking sauce, heat water to boiling for noodles
  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion together until all the pink is gone, drain if necessary
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper
  • Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes or until sauce is thick
  • Stir in the mixed vegetables
  • Heat through, about 2 minutes
  • Cook noodles according to directions on package
  • Drain noodles and add to large bowl
  • Stir in cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese and ¼ cup parmesan cheese

Cheesy Cream Cheese Hamburger Pasta Casserole is a delicious comfort food casserole. My family has been making this ooey gooey cheesy casserole for years.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 lb ground beef
1/2 small green pepper, diced
1/2 small red pepper, diced
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
8 oz cream cheese, at room temp or microwave for a minute to soften
1 cup sour cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese or mozzarella
12 oz pasta of your choice (cooked al dente )
3 cups pasta sauce of your choice
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, saute the hamburger and cook until almost cooked through.
  • Add the onion, peppers, garlic salt and pepper ad cook until the veggies are cooked through.
  • In a medium saucepan boil water for pasta . Add pasta and cook until pasta is just al dente. Do not over cook as the pasta will continue to cook in the oven. Drain.
  • Add the cream cheese. If you didn't leave it out at room temperature you can microwave it for a minute in the microwave. Add sour cream and Parmesan cheese.
  • In a sprayed 9"x 13" casserole dish, add the pasta mixture. Then add the hamburger mixture and sauce on top and stir until everything is loosely combined.,
  • Top with the shredded cheddar or mozzarella.
  • Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through. Serve immediately.

1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 teaspoon dry parsley flakes

1 dash pepper

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together including the meat.
  • Shape into Hamburger Patties.

Sorry about the poor picture quality. This is a simple but good casserole. It is basically burgers topped with parmesan potatoes. I got this recipe from my aunt several years ago and it has been a family favorite. Aunt ina often took this dish to shut-ins and to church potlucks. it was always welcomed and eaten up quickly!

1 pound(s) lean ground beef
1/3 cup(s) dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup(s) finely chopped onion
1/4 cup(s) grated parmesan cheese
1 large egg, slightly beaten
3 cup(s) hot mashed potatoes (real or instant)
2 tablespoon(s) chopped parsley
- salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Combine meat, bread crumbs, onion, cheese, and egg. Mix well. Form into 4 patties and cook in skillet to medium well done. Place in a 9 inch square baking pan or casserole dish and set aside.
  • Turn on broiler to heat. Prepare potatoes and mix with parsley, salt and pepper. Spoon potatoes around the edge of the dish. Broil until potatoes begin to brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle with more parmesan cheese.
  • Note: You can add cherry tomatoes cut in half and green pepper strips to the edges of this casserole before broiling if you like.

1 cup 4% cottage cheese

  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles; drain. Add the tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. , In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, onions and green pepper. Drain noodles; place half in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Top with half each of the meat and cheese mixtures. Repeat layers. 1 cup breadcrumbs
oil

Steps:

  • Shape ground chuck into 4 patties, dip in flour, then in beaten egg, then in bread crumbs.
  • Brown in oil until light golden brown.
  • Place in casserole dish.
  • Place mozzarella cheese on top of patties.
  • Pour tomato sauce over cheese.
  • Sprinkle with oregano and top with enough parmesan cheese to lightly cover the top.
  • Bake at 350F for 40 minutes.

3/4 cup marinara sauce, divided

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 pound ground chicken
4 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender, about 3 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
2 ¼ cups water
1 (14.5 ounce) can peeled and diced tomatoes
⅓ cup dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 eggplant
1 onion, sliced
½ cup dry bread crumbs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, saute the ground beef, onion and garlic for 5 to 10 minutes. Drain excess fat. Stir in the tomato paste, water, tomatoes, parsley, thyme, oregano and basil. Set aside.
