HAM AND CHEESE SLIDERS

Ham and Cheese Sliders image

Ham and cheese party sliders. Serve warm.

Provided by TheRealPaulGately

Categories     Main Dish Recipes     Pork     Ham

Time 44m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 11

cooking spray
1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 (6 ounce) package thinly sliced deli ham
¾ pound shredded Swiss cheese
½ cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Slice attached rolls in half widthwise with a serrated knife, keeping rolls connected, into a bottom and top 'slab.' Place bottom slab in the prepared pan.
  • Layer about half the ham evenly over the bottom slab of rolls. Layer Swiss cheese evenly on top, and arrange remaining ham over the cheese. Cover with the top slab.
  • Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave until melted, about 1 minute. Add mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, onion, salt, and pepper. Whisk to combine.
  • Pour butter mixture evenly and slowly over the rolls. Spread over the tops using a spatula; some of the mixture will pool at the base of the rolls. Cover with aluminum foil and let stand at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Uncover and continue baking until browned as desired, 3 to 5 minutes more. Slice into individual sliders.

Time 1h3m

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 Cans Pillsbury refrigerated French bread, 11 oz
4 TBSP Sesame Seeds
1 Pkg Thin Sliced Ham, 9 oz
1 Pkg Swiss Cheese, 11 Slices
8 Slices Large Tomato
6 TBSP Melted Butter, Divided
2 TSP Italian Seasoning

  • Spray non-stick spray to cover inside of Bundt Pan.
  • Sprinkle Sesame Seeds into large shallow dish or cutting board.
  • Remove dough from cans.
  • Roll each over sesame seeds to cover, making sure not to get any on the sides. Be sure not to flatten the dough, we went to keep it in the shape that it comes straight from the can.
  • Place the rolls in the bundt pan to make a circle. Pinch the ends together on each side.
  • Bake for 33-38 minutes until the top of the bread is a toasty brown color.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the honey mustard mayo by mixing the honey mustard and mayonnaise together and set aside.
  • Remove the baked bread from oven and let cool for 10 minutes and then carefully remove from pan and let cool on a cooking rack. {Keep the oven on for later.}
  • Make sure the decorative side of the bread is on top and carefully cut the bread in half lengthwise.
  • Spread the honey mustard mayo on the bottom half of the bread.
  • Add layer of tomato slices, follow with ham slices and finish with cheese slices.
  • Mix Italian Seasoning with 4 TBSP Melted Butter and brush on top of the bundt bread.
  • Cover by making a Foil Tent and add back to the oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
  • Brush remaining 2 TBSP of butter over the top of the sandwich.

SWEET HAM AND SWISS SLIDERS

Sweet Ham and Swiss Sliders image

I found this recipe on heatherlikesfood.com in a blog that she posted about Super Bowl food. The sauce that is poured over the rolls caramelizes and gives them a gooey sweetness that meshes perfectly with the ham and Swiss. They are one of the best sliders that I have ever had!
