BROWN SUGAR AND MUSTARD PORK TENDERLOIN

Brown Sugar and Mustard Pork Tenderloin image

This savory tenderloin with a touch of sweetness will get you excited for leftovers--from Teri Lyn Fisher and Jenny Park of Spoon Fork Bacon.

Provided by Reynolds Kitchens(R)

Categories     Trusted Brands: Recipes and Tips     Reynolds®

Time 55m

Yield 3

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 pounds pork tenderloin
salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup whole grain mustard
¼ cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves, minced
1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Generously season tenderloin with salt and pepper. Set aside. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together mustard, brown sugar and thyme.
  • Place a large sheet of Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil onto a baking sheet. Place onion slices in the center of the foil, in a single layer. Place pork over the onions and brush with 1/2 of the mustard mixture.
  • Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to seal packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the internal temperature reads 130 degrees F.
  • Remove from oven. Open packet carefully by cutting along top fold with a sharp knife, allowing steam to escape. When uncovered, brush with remaining mustard mixture. Leaving the packet open, broil for about 1 minute or until a nice crust forms on top. Remove from the oven and allow tenderloin to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

BROWN SUGAR AND BALSAMIC GLAZED PORK TENDERLOIN

Brown Sugar and Balsamic Glazed Pork Tenderloin image

Pork tenderloin with a delightful savory-sweet balsamic glaze.

Provided by Mike Marziale

Categories     Meat and Poultry Recipes     Pork     Pork Tenderloin Recipes

Time 1h15m

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 11

½ cup brown sugar
½ cup water
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 ½ teaspoons ground sage
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
2 (1 1/2 pound) pork tenderloins
1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed

Steps:

  • Combine brown sugar, water, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, 4 to 6 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking sheet.
  • Combine garlic, sage, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub garlic mixture over pork tenderloins.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange tenderloins in the skillet and brown evenly, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer pork to the prepared baking sheet and brush with the balsamic glaze.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn pork, brush again with glaze, and continue cooking until pork is slightly pink in the center, about 20 minutes more, or until desired doneness. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
  • Remove tenderloin to a platter. Allow to rest for 10 minutes. Drizzle a little extra glaze over the top. Carve and serve with remaining glaze on the side.

BROWN SUGAR GLAZED PORK LOIN CHOPS

Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Loin Chops image

This is an often-requested recipe in my home. The flavorful sauce tastes like you spent hours working on it, but it is one of the simplest dinner recipes that I prepare. I first came across the recipe in a Publix advertisement, but have tweaked it slightly.

Provided by sleepycat

Categories     Pork

Time 25m

Yield 3 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 fresh garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 teaspoons McCormick's Montreal Brand steak seasoning (can use reduced-sodium version)
3/4 lb pork loin chop
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1/4 cup red wine or 1/4 cup chianti wine

Steps:

  • Combine brown sugar, garlic, and Montreal steak seasoning. Divide mixture amongst the pork loin chops and press on both sides of each chop to season.
  • Place 1 tbsp of the butter in a saute' pan and melt on medium heat. After butter is melted, put chops in pan and brown slowly on both sides. Remove meat from heat.
  • Add remaining 1 tbsp of butter to pan and let melt. Mix with remaining garlic and brown sugar bits left from browning meat. Add wine. Bring to a boil and let simmer down to make a nice glaze. You can add meat back and keep spooning liquid mixture over meat or leave meat out of the pan and pour finished glaze over to serve.
  • * This can easily be doubled. I use 2 tbsp of butter to brown the chops, but only 1 tbsp of butter to make sauce.

BROWN SUGAR DIJON GLAZED PORK LOIN WITH CARROTS, APPLES AND SWEET POTATOES

Brown Sugar Dijon Glazed Pork Loin with Carrots, Apples and Sweet Potatoes image

This brown sugar Dijon mustard glazed pork loin with carrots, apples and sweet potatoes is an excellent choice for a Sunday dinner or a holiday meal. Carrots and potatoes are caramelized in brown sugar and so is the top of the roast, generously coated with Dijon mustard and dark brown sugar.

Provided by Olya

Categories     Main Course

Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 lb. pork loin
1 lb carrots (cut in strips)
2 granny smith apples (optional) (peeled, cored and sliced thickly)
2 sweet potatoes (peeled and sliced lengthwise)
2 tbsp olive oil
1/3 cup dark brown sugar ((such as Wholesome Dark Brown Sugar))
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning ((optional))
3 tbsp Dijon mustard ((creamy and thick, such as Maille Dijon Mustard))
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon parsley ((chopped, for decoration))

Steps:

  • Cut carrots and sweet potatoes lengthwise. Add them to the bowl, add 2 tablespoons olive oil and mix well.
  • Slice peeled apples - but place them in a different bowl to be added later (optional step).
  • Place pork loin with fat layer on top in the middle of the baking sheet. Surround it with oiled up carrots and sweet potatoes. Do not add brown sugar or apples yet. My picture shows apples, but I took them out of the pan and added them after 30 minutes in the oven.
  • Season the pork loin and vegetables with spices evenly: 1 tsp sea salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional).
  • Generously brush the entire surface of the pork loin (except bottom) with Dijon mustard - 3 tablespoons. If your pork loin is smaller, use less.
  • Press ½ cup of dark brown sugar into the mustard, all over the roast.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook at 375 degrees F. Take it out after 30 minutes and sprinkle the veggies with 1/3 cup of brown sugar.
  • Adding apples (optional step): Add sliced apples at this point.
  • Return the roast to the oven and continue cooking for about 20-30 more minutes or until the internal temperature hits between 145 (pink roast) to 155 degrees F (white roast) on a meat thermometer. The total cooking time for the roast of this size ends up being 50 minutes to 1 hour and that does not include resting time of 10 minutes! See below.
  • Important! Keep in mind that large cuts like this pork loin increase in temperature approximately 10° F. while resting. Which means that if you are aiming for 160 F, remove them from the heat at 150° F. followed by a 10 minute rest.
  • Let the roast rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving. Once again, remove it prior to desired target temperature to avoid the pork drying out.
  • The pork will continue "cooking" while resting. This will also allow the juices in the meat to settle down and stay in the meat when you slice it.

BROWN SUGAR GLAZED PORK

Brown Sugar Glazed Pork image

I got this from Publix. I use pork chops instead of tenderloin. It's very quick and easy but i only get about two chops out of this mix. So, I double it or triple it depending on how many chops i make.

Provided by Chef Steelerfanatic

Categories     Pork

Time 25m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 fresh garlic cloves
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 teaspoons McCormick's Montreal Brand steak seasoning (I use liquid and i use Dales..any steak seasoning will do i think)
1 pork tenderloin (about 1 pound)
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1/4 cup red wine

Steps:

  • 1) Crush garlic, using garlic press, into medium bowl. Use knife to remove garlic from bottom of press. Stir in brown sugar and steak seasoning until well blended.
  • 2) Preheat large saute pan on medium heat 2-3 minutes. Cut pork diagonally into about eight 1-inch-thick slices. Place pork slices in bowl and press into mixture. Turn and press again to lightly season both sides (wash hands).
  • 3) Place 1 tablespoon of the butter in pan; swirl to coat. Add pork (wash hands); cook 5-6 minutes on each side or until well browned and internal temperature reaches 160 degrees (for medium). Use a meat thermometer to accurately ensure doneness.
  • 4) Remove pork from pan. Stir in wine and remaining 1 tablespoon butter; simmer one minute, stirring continually. Serve wine sauce with pork.
