Golden brown and flaky, these bite-sized puff pastries with creamy Brie and sweet cherry preserves could easily double as a scrumptious dessert. -Marilyn McSween, Mentor, Ohio

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1/2 cup cherry preserves
4 ounces Brie cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
2 tablespoons minced chives

Steps:

  • Unfold puff pastry; cut into 36 squares. Gently press squares onto the bottoms of 36 greased miniature muffin cups., Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Using the end of a wooden spoon handle, make a 1/2-in.-deep indentation in the center of each. Bake until golden brown, 6-8 minutes longer. With spoon handle, press squares down again., Spoon 1/2 rounded teaspoon of preserves into each cup. Top with cheese; sprinkle with nuts and chives. Bake until cheese is melted, 3-5 minutes.

These are a great and super easy appitizer. I made these for a party and everyone thought I spent so much time cooking. They only took a few minutes to prepare.

1 (10 ounce) package puff pastry
10 -12 ounces brie cheese
1 (8 ounce) jar hot pepper peach jelly

Steps:

  • Defrost the puff pastry and separate the strips.
  • Cut each strip into three squares. Then cut those squares into four squares.
  • Line mini muffin pan with liners and place a puff square in each liner so the corners go up the sides some.
  • Put a small amout of brie about 1/4 teaspoons on the squares, then same amount of the hot pepper peach preserves.
  • Bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes. Remove liners from pastry before serving, if desired.

1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from 17.3-ounce package), thawed
1/3 to 1/2 cup red cherry preserves
4 ounces Brie cheese, cut into 1/2x1/2-inch pieces (36 pieces)
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°. Spray 36 miniature muffin cups, 1 3/4x1 inch, with cooking spray. Cut pastry into 36 (1 1/2-inch) squares. Slightly press each square into muffin cup; press center with finger.
  • Bake 10 minutes. Press center with handle of wooden spoon. Bake 6 to 8 minutes longer or until golden brown. Immediately press again in center. Fill each with about 1/2 teaspoon preserves. Top with cheese piece, pecans and chives.
  • Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve warm.

Steps:

  • Unfold puff pastry; cut into 36 squares.
  • Gently press squares onto the bottoms of 36 miniature muffin cups coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Using the end of a wooden spoon handle, make a 1/2-inch deep indentation in the center of each.
  • Bake 6-8 minutes longer or until golden brown.
  • With spoon handle, press squares down again.
  • Spoon a rounded 1/2 teaspoonful of preserves into each cup.
  • Top with cheese; sprinkle with nuts and chives.
  • Bake for 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
