GRANDMA'S BREAD PUDDING
This bread pudding recipe is easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. This is one of our family's favorite recipes and perfect served with a big scoop of ice cream!

Steps:
- Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place the cubed challah bread into the prepared baking dish and spread it around into an even layer. Set aside.
- In a very large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon until fully combined. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread in the prepared baking pan, making sure all of the bread is coated. Allow to sit and soak up the mixture for about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Once the 15 minutes is over, place the bread pudding in the oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until the top is set.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING
This is an old family recipe that I've been using for over 30 years. It's a great way to use stale bread and/or rolls, but, it's especially good when you make it with the flavored "swirl" breads that are available in the stores. - 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 3-4 quart glass baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside. Have at the ready: a 9X13-inch baking pan with about 2" on water in it. You will need this to bake the bread pudding in a water bath.
- 2. In a large bowl, mix the sugar and flour. Add the eggs and beat well (by hand).
- 3. Add the vanilla and milk and mix well. Add the bread cubes and raisins Mix well. Let set for about 10-15 minutes until bread has absorbed some of the liquid.
- 4. Pour into prepared baking dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon.
- 5. Place in baking pan (with water on the bottom) and place in heated oven.
- 6. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until bread pudding is browned and firm.
- 7. Cool slightly before serving. Serve garnished with whipped cream if desired. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
- 8. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TAKING OUT OF THE OVEN AS THE WATER IN THE BAKING PAN IS EXTREMELY HOT!!!!
- 9. HINT: you can use as much bread cubes as you want with this recipe. If you like your bread pudding dense, just add more bread cubes. But you may have to bake it longer so it sets up. If you do this, just keep and eye on it.... check every 5-10 minutes. I've already baked it for WELL over an hour.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Butter an 8x8 inch glass baking dish. Soak bread in hot milk for five minutes. Stir in 3/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, salt, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into the baking dish.
- Line a roasting pan with a damp kitchen towel. Place baking dish on towel inside roasting pan, and place roasting pan on oven rack. Fill roasting pan with boiling water to reach halfway up the sides of the baking dish. Bake for 60 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
- While pudding cools, combine 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter, cream, and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a large saucepan. While stirring, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and stir 3 minutes more. Spoon over warm bread pudding.

GRANDMA'S BREAD PUDDING WITH VANILLA SAUCE
The most simple and delicious bread pudding I have ever made. The vanilla sauce makes it very special and the sauce is super simple. (Find the recipe for the Vanilla Sauce in the "Directions" section of the Grandma's Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce recipe.) Make full recipe for 9x13 baking dish. Make half recipe for 8x8 baking dish.

- Grandma's Bread Pudding Recipe Directions.
- Combine sugar, salt, flavoring, cinnamon and egg. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Add bread cubes and melted butter and mix thoroughly. Pour into well buttered baking dish 9x13. Set 9x13 dish inside baking pan of warm water. Bake at 350 degrees at least 1 hours until inserted knife comes out completely clean.
- Vanilla Sauce Recipe (topping for Grandma's Bread Pudding Recipe).
- Combine 2 tablespoons flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 2 cups of milk in saucepan. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. When thickened, remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring.
- Let sauce cool and serve over the bread pudding. Taste best when sauce is cooled.

BASIC BREAD PUDDING II
This bread pudding is very versatile and lovely in texture. Christmas time can inspire a bread pudding by simply substituting a good-quality eggnog for the milk (or part of it). Also add a pinch of nutmeg and mace to produce a sumptuous holiday dessert. Otherwise, enjoy this just as it is with a dollop of whipped cream.

PEACH PUDDING
Cobbler with a custard like base. You should spread foil under the baking dish as the topping will rise and if the pan isn't large enough to accommodate thejuice, you'll have a mess!

- In a large saucepan, mix the cornstarch, brown sugar and peaches. Cook and stir until thick.

BREAD PUDDING WITH RAISINS
This is my favorite bread pudding recipe. It always turns out great! Some reviewers have stated that the type of bread or size of baking dish is not specified. That is on purpose and is the beauty of this recipe! You can use any kind of bread you have on hand. You can use various sized pans for this recipe, depending on how thick you want the finished pudding to be. I've used a large square casserole dish, or a lasagna pan at times. The baking time may vary depending on the size of the dish you use, so adjust accordingly. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator. Cold bread pudding is great for breakfast!

- Tear bread into tiny pieces in a large bowl.
- Add the milk, eggs, vanilla, sugar, and raisins and mix well.
- Let the mixture sit for a little while, so the milk is absorbed.
- Grease your baking dish will all 3 tablespoons of the butter. You will have large pieces of butter in the pan, that is OK.
- Pour the pudding into the greased pan and bake at 350 deg. F. for one hour or until firm and brown on the edges.

PEACH BREAD PUDDING
While searching for a peach recipe I came upon this one that can be made any time of year, using either fresh or frozen peaches. A comforting kind of Southern-style recipe! If using frozen peaches, thaw & sugar them to taste.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In mixing bowl, beat together first 6 ingredients, eggs through salt.
- In another bowl, combine milk & water, then beat it into the egg mixture.
