BLT Pizza image

Got this for our Friday pizza night when I didn't have pizza sauce and wanted to make something different. It is from Taste Of Home. They loved it!

Provided by SweetsLady

Categories     < 30 Mins

Time 27m

Yield 1 pizza, 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 cup mayonnaise (I prefer Miracle Whip) or 1/2 cup salad dressing (I prefer Miracle Whip)
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1 (16 ounce) prepared pizza crust, Italian bread shell or 1 (16 ounce) your favorite homemade prepared pizza crust
12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled, divided (I use turkey bacon)
3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (I've used Monterey Jack instead as well)
3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups lettuce, shredded
2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, basil, garlic powder and onion powder; refrigerate for 1/2 hour or more.
  • Place the pizza crust on an ungreased 12-inch pizza pan.
  • Spread mayonnaise mixture over crust.
  • Set aside 1/4 cup bacon.
  • Sprinkle remaining bacon, cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese on crust.
  • Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted. If doing a homemade crust, I bake mine at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
  • Top with lettuce, tomatoes, and reserved bacon.
  • Cut into wedges and serve. Enjoy!

BLT SALAD PIZZA

BLT Salad Pizza image

This recipe is sponsored by Target. I'm a big fan of enjoying pizza with a salad on the side and I usually find myself putting the salad ON TOP of my pizza. For this recipe I bake the crust until nice and crispy so it can hold the salad without getting soggy. Then, I top it with mozzarella and Parmesan, and finish with a simple salad of crispy bacon, ripe tomatoes and fresh greens.

Provided by Megan Mitchell

Categories     main-dish

Time 25m

Yield 4 to 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 10

8 strips bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
One 5-ounce store-bought thin pizza crust
2 to 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Eight to ten (1-ounce) slices low-moisture part-skim mozzarella
2 to 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan, plus more for sprinkling
4 cups loosely packed mixed greens
2 cups cherry tomatoes, large quartered, small halved
1/4 cup packed basil leaves, roughly chopped
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, plus more if needed

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Line a bowl or plate with paper towels.
  • Place the bacon in a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon to the prepared bowl or plate.
  • Place the pizza crust on the prepared baking sheet, brush with 1 tablespoon oil and liberally sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake until crispy, 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the crust with the mozzarella and 2 to 3 tablespoons of Parmesan. Continue to bake until the mozzarella melts, 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Put the bacon, mixed greens, tomatoes and basil in a large bowl. Drizzle with the vinegar and 1 to 2 tablespoons oil. Season with a sprinkle each of salt and pepper. Toss and taste, adding more vinegar or salt if needed.
  • Pile the salad on top of the pizza and finish with a sprinkling of Parmesan and pepper. Cut into slices and serve.

BLT PIZZA

BLT Pizza image

One of our favorites at our local pizza joint.

Provided by Melissa Turner

Categories     Pizza

Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 boboli pizza crust (or your favorite crust)
1 jar(s) pizza sauce
1 lb bacon
1 lettuce head
2 tomatoes
2-3 c mozzarella cheese
1 c mayonnaise (hellmann's)

Steps:

  • 1. Cook bacon crisp and crumble into pieces. Preheat oven to 425. Add sauce to prepared pizza crust. Top with mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle bacon pieces over the top of cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and nice a bubbly.
  • 2. Take pizza out of oven and spread mayo over the top. Add cut lettuce and diced tomatoes.
  • 3. I was very reluctant to try this pizza at first. All I could think was mayo on pizza how gross and I'm not a big fan of mayo to begin with, but trust me this is delicious and the mayo is the star of the show.
