Ingredients

Small handful fresh mint (about 10 leaves)
1 cup ice cubes
Splash simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, cooled)
1/4 cup apple juice
1/3 cup vodka
2 red apple slices, for garnish
2 green apple slices, for garnish

Steps:

In a tall glass, crush the mint leaves with a muddler. Top with the ice, simple syrup, apple juice and vodka. Garnish with red and green apples slices and serve.

1/2 lime, juice of
7 ounces carbonated lemon-lime beverage or 7 ounces club soda
2 teaspoons simple syrup or 4 teaspoons sugar
mint sprig

Steps:

Crush mint leaves and lime juice in a tall glass.
Cover with simple syrup and fill glass with ice.
Add rum and lemon lime soda (or club soda), stir well.
Add mint to garnish.

Steps:

In a cocktail shaker, muddle together sugar syrup and some fresh mint leaves.
Add the lime juice, Vodka and Sour Apple Liqueur, stir well together.
Pour into a highball glass half filled with crushed ice.
Top up with soda water.

I have served this to people who have sworn that they dislike mojitos and they love it. I believe it is the fresh ingredients and the use of sugar, instead of simple syrup, muddled together that makes this cocktail refreshing and delicious. It takes a little bit of work but the results are well worth it. Serve over ice.

½ cup white sugar
36 leaves fresh mint, or to taste
3 limes, quartered
1 cup rum (such as Bacardi®)
1 liter club soda

Steps:

Muddle sugar and mint leaves together in pitcher until leaves are well broken down. Add limes and muddle until limes are juiced. Stir rum into sugar mixture; add club soda and stir until sugar is dissolved.
