BEER MARGARITAS
Who would believe that beer would be the perfect solution to eradicating fluorescent green margaritas? Well, it is! Best to use not-so-micro brews to avoid an overpowering beer flavor. Use the limeade can to measure the ingredients, and adjust with extra water if the mixture seems too sweet. Straining the pulp is always a good idea, unless, of course, you like pulp!

SAN ANTONIO MARGARITA
Josie Davidson is one of the great hostesses of South Texas and learned to make margaritas from her father, Chris Gill, who received the recipe in the 1970s from Mario Cantu, owner of Mario's, an old-line Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. She passed her knowledge along to The Times in 2015: Combine equal parts tequila, orange liqueur and fresh lime juice in a pitcher, using a measuring glass if you have one to get it to 26 ounces exactly (deploy a splash or so more than a cup per liquid if you don't), then add 6 ounces of water to the mix and set it in the refrigerator to chill. Serve over ice in glasses with salted rims. She doesn't use triple sec - she says it's too cloying. Her father advocates Cointreau. For Davidson, only Paula's Texas Orange liqueur will do.

BETTY'S BEER MARGARITA
Betty was a friend of mine who was around my dads age and was like a mother to me. She used to tell me about this drink and what was in it but I never had them until now because I didn't have her exact recipe. Betty died of lung cancer last February, before I could get her recipe. I found the recipe on "The Food Network" web site and improvised it to suit my taste and named it after Betty. You can add more tequila if you want to. Warning: More than one might sneak up on you because you can't taste the tequila! :)

Steps:
- Pour lime juice or the 2 tablespoons of limeade onto a saucer.
- Spoon the salt onto another saucer so that there is a thin layer of salt.
- Dip the rim of a beer mug or a tall glass in the lime juice/limeade and then in the salt.
- Pour beer, limeade concentrate and tequila into a 2 cup measuring cup and stir well.
- Pour into the beer mug/tall glass (with or without ice).
- Put the lime wedge on the rim of the mug/glass to make it look like you are having a fancy drink.
- Cheers
- Note:For best results, put the beer mug/glass in the freezer for about 10 or 15 minutes before serving to have a nice cold, frosty mug/glass.
- It helps keep the drink cold longer.

- Moscow Mule. If there was one cocktail to showcase ginger beer in all its glory, it’s the Moscow mule. A Moscow mule is a fizzy vodka-based drink that features ginger beer and fresh lime.
- Pimm’s Cup. Pimm’s cup is like a gateway craft cocktail that will have you coming back for more. It’s a simple cocktail to make, but it looks super fancy due to all the fun fixings.
- Dark and Stormy. If you’re looking for an easy cocktail recipe, this is a great place to start. A dark and stormy is very similar to a Moscow mule except it uses dark rum instead.
- Blueberry Buck Whiskey Cocktail. What makes this a buck is it combines a spirit with ginger beer and citrus. This one is even better by using fresh blueberries and blueberry juice.
- Irish Mule. An Irish mule is another excellent spin on the classic Moscow mule. It gets the Irish twist by replacing vodka with Irish whiskey instead.
- Foghorn Cocktail. If you prefer your mule with gin, then you will adore this foghorn cocktail. Originating in New York City, the foghorn is a fragrant fizzy cocktail that uses gin as the base.
- Ginger Rickey. This is an exciting take on a classic gin Rickey. It combines gin with fresh cranberry juice, then floats ginger beer on top. It’s fruity, floral, tangy, and fizzy all in one glass.
- Skeleton Key. The name for this libation got inspiration from the striking rusty color of the glass. It combines smooth bourbon with fragrant St. Germain elderflower liqueur and ginger beer.
- Ginger Beer Margaritas. I never would have thought to add ginger beer to a margarita and now I can’t drink one without it! Ginger beer adds an effervescent quality that perfectly complements the sweet and citrusy flavor of margaritas.
- White Wine Ginger Beer Sangria. Looking for a fruity fizzy batch cocktail? Ginger beer sangria is the perfect solution. This fun cocktail looks spectacular in a pitcher and tastes sensational.
