OVEN-BAKED BRATWURST (EASY RECIPE)

5 Uncooked Bratwurst

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure your oven rack is in the center position.
  • Cover your baking sheet with tin foil. (A casserole dish or baking pan also works well.)
  • Place the bratwurst on the baking sheet, allowing plenty of space in between.
  • Bake the bratwurst on one side for 10 minutes.
  • Flip the brats and cook on the other side for 5 to 7 minutes (until browned).
  • Quick Note: If you're cooking the brats with other veggies in the pan, they'll need 20 to 25 minutes. When cooked by themselves, the bratwurst cook in just 15 minutes.

6 bratwursts
1 medium white onion
1 apple
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon coarse black pepper

Steps:

  • Rub the defrosted brats with the garlic and leave it stuck to the brats.
  • Lay the brats in the bottom of a foil lined pan, leave enough foil on the sides to tent it over the brats later.
  • Quarter the onion and apple and spread the pieces out over the brats.
  • Sprinkle the pepper over the whole thing and seal the foil over the top.
  • Bake in a 350 oven for an hour.

6 -8 bratwursts
2 large Spanish onions
6 crushed garlic cloves
1 teaspoon salt
36 ounces beer (I use Miller Light)
1/2 cup butter (I use Land-O-Lakes)
6 -8 brat buns

Steps:

  • Add brats, beer, 3/4 stick of butter, garlic, 1/2 onion, and salt to pot.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Place on medium hot grill and grill until golden brown (15 to 20 minutes).
  • Use remaining butter to sauté onions until they become opaque.
  • Place on buns top with a spicy mustard and onions.
  • Enjoy!
