Homemade salsa is just 15 minutes away with garden-fresh tomatoes.

1 lb plum (Roma) tomatoes (about 6 tomatoes)
1 jalapeño chile, seeded
1 clove garlic, peeled
1/4 medium white onion
1/2 teaspoon chicken tomato bouillon granules
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • In blender, place all ingredients except oil. Cover; blend until smooth.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add tomato mixture; cook about 5 minutes or until hot. Serve warm or cold with tortilla chips, as desired. Cover and refrigerate any remaining salsa.

2 green onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 fresh jalapeño, chopped

1/2 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon of dried oregano

Steps:

  • Pulse all ingredients in a food processor or blender until the larger items are small and chunky - don't over blend because you'll end up with a salsa smoothie!
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours to allow the flavors to merge.

1 jalapeño pepper ((seeded and chopped))

Steps:

  • Add the tomatoes, onions, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice to your food processor.
  • Pulse until the salsa reaches your desired consistency.
  • Garnish with cilantro if desired and serve!

This 60 second low sodium salsa recipe uses all fresh ingredients, and only takes 60 seconds to make. Fresh is always better, and this fresh low sodium salsa packs a punch!

5 Roma tomatoes
1/2 Spanish Onion, rough chopped
2 Jalapeño
4 Garlic Cloves
1/4 cup Cilantro
1 1/2 Lime, juiced
2 tbsp Cumin, ground
1 tbsp Coriander, ground
1 tbsp Oregano
1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper, optional (add more or less for desired heat)
Pinch Black pepper, pinch

Steps:

  • Clean garlic, onions, and peppers by removing the skin and seeds.
  • Mix all ingredients in a food processor or blender until the larger items are small and chunky. Find your desired thickness.
  • Let sit for a couple of hours (best if you let sit over night) in the refrigerator.
  • Best served chilled and with plain tortilla chips.

1 can(s) 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes, no salt added
1/2 - sweet onion
1 - fresh jalapeno's
1/4-1/2 cup(s) chopped cilantro
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon(s) cumin
1/4 teaspoon(s) mexican oregano

Steps:

  • Place diced tomatoes in mircowave proof bowl. Cut jalapeno(s)in half, and onion in quarters. Add to bowl with cilantro, garlic, cumin and oregano. Microwave for 5 min. (I place a plate over the bowl while microwaving to avoid splattering). Once veggies have cooled a bit, place in food processor and puree, add a little water if you prefer thinner sauce.

  • Combine tomatoes, red onion, yellow onion, green chilies, lime juice, cilantro, garlic, cumin, and salt in a food processor. Pulse processor until mixture is combined, yet remains chunky. Transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
