POTATO BREAD-BREAD MACHINE
Yes, I know that there are already recipes for potato bread on Zaar, but couldn't find one like this one! This is a good crusty loaf with a soft centre making it perfect for sandwiches. We don't buy any bread, so I rely heavily on good bread recipes-this one we like a lot! Tip: if you are using leftover mashed potato that has had milk and or butter added, you may need to reduce the liquid a little.

Steps:
- Pour the water and oil into the bread pan. If your instructions specify that the yeast is to placed into the pan first, reverse the order in which you add the liquid and dry ingredients.
- Sprinkle over the flour, ensuring that it covers the water. Add the mashed potato and milk powder. Add the salt and sugar in separate corners of the bread pan. Make a small indent into the centre of the flour and add the yeast.
- Set the machine to basic and medium crust and start.
- To glaze the loaf, brush the top with milk either at the beginning of cooking time or halfway through.

POTATO BREAD (BREAD MACHINE)
This is a light and delicious loaf of bread made with instant mashed potato flakes. It was my first truly successful attempt at using my new bread machine, and I plan on making it again and again! If I didn't screw it up it must be foolproof! I found this online somewhere, but I'm ashamed to say I forgot where. This makes one 1 1/2 pound loaf.

POTATO WATER BREAD (BREAD MACHINE)
When I was little, my mom made homemade bread with potato water and I had never forgotten the taste. It was sooooo goooood!!! Since then, my mom has passed but I longed for that bread. After making a few substitutions and alterations, I think I've succeeded in being able to imitate her recipe as close as possible. This recipe calls for less yeast due to the starch content in the potato water that contributes to the rising action. The first time I made this bread, the taste brought me back to the good ol' days!! A good and tasty way to use saved potato water!!! Because this bread browns up darker than most, I would suggest a light crust setting on your machine.

POTATO BREAD FOR BREAD MACHINE
This is my dad's recipe from long ago. Sadly, he passed away in 2006, but his bread lives on through our family. I bake this in the machine on 2lb loaf with medium crust. I've also just set the machine for 'dough' and made loaves out of it freehand. They are still wonderful. Try adding dill seeds to this bread for a nice treat. Seeds... not dill weed. This bread is terrific for sandwiches... toast... really anything. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

- Beginning several days before you hope to be eating this bread, rinse 1/2 cup raw wheat berries in cool water; drain. Soak the berries with cool water in a large bowl. Cover the bowl with a plate or cloth, and allow the berries to soak at normal room temperature overnight or for about 12 hours. The berries will soak up a considerable amount of water. Drain the berries in a colander, cover the colander with a plate to prevent the berries from drying out, and set it in a place away from light. Rinse the berries about 3 times a day, and they will soon begin to sprout. In a couple of days the sprouts will reach their optimum length of about l/4 inch. Drain the sprouts and grind them in a blender or food processor.
- Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Whole Wheat cycle and Medium Crust setting; press Start.
- If your machine has a raisin cycle, you can put the sprouts in at the beep for more intact sprouts. If not, the bread may have a mushy consistency.
