This is an unlikely pairing. Any time I mention it, I get a weird face. But when I make it, everyone is shocked by how great they really are, and beg for more!

Steps:
- Wrap each banana slice with a piece of bacon.
- Fry wrapped banana in a skillet until bacon is desired crispness, 15 to 30 minutes. Remove wrapped bananas from skillet with a toothpick and place on a serving dish.

BACON WRAPPED CHUTNEY BANANAS
Lovely combination of Banana, Bacon & Chutney. My chutney is very close to a mango chutney even though it is made with apples.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375F Roll the banana pieces in the lemon juice and wrap with a piece of bacon around the outside edge and secure with a toothpick Place on a baking sheet lined with foil (preferably with non stick foil).
- Bake until the bacon is almost cooked apprx 20 minutes While they are baking process the chutney in a blender until it is quite fine- use pulse.
- Dip the banana pieces in the chutney, coat evenly, return to oven until crisp 5-10 minutes Allow to cool for a minute or two- they are very hot& serve.

Steps:
- Whisk soy sauce and honey together in a large bowl; add bananas and stir to coat bananas in marinade. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Remove banana chunks and reserve marinade.
- Set oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.
- Wrap bananas with bacon and secure by threading a toothpick through the bacon. Dip wrapped bananas in reserved marinade and arrange on a baking sheet.
- Broil in the preheated oven until bacon is browned and crispy, 8 to 10 minutes.
