Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Potatoes image

These bacon cheeseburger stuffed potatoes are the ultimate burger and fries meal combined into one dish

Provided by Katy | Her Cup of Joy

Categories     Dinner

Time 31m

Number Of Ingredients 12

6 small potatoes, washed
4-5 strips of bacon
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion
2 cloves garlic
¼ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons mustard
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 package dry onion soup mix
Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish: Sour cream, ketchup, mustard, pickles, green onions, and tomatoes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Wash and scrub the potatoes well and place on a baking sheet. Poke a few holes in each potato. Place in the oven to bake until easily pierced with a fork, about an hour.
  • On another baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper, place the bacon slices and put in the oven to bake until crispy. Once the bacon has cooled, chop it into pieces.
  • Meanwhile, brown the beef in a large skillet. Drain the browned beef in a sieve to get rid of any extra grease, leaving behind a tablespoon of grease in the skillet.
  • Chop the onion and press the garlic and saute in the skillet.
  • Once the onion is soft and translucent, add the drained beef back to the skillet.
  • Then add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and the dry onion soup mix to the beef and stir to combine. Take off the heat and set aside.
  • Remove the potatoes from the oven, then, being careful not to burn your hands, cut each potato in half length-wise. Scoop out the flesh, leaving about a ¼-1/2 inch diameter of potato.
  • Place the potatoes back on a baking sheet and put about a tablespoon of cheese in each potato. Add a scoop of the beef mixture. Then top with bacon and more cheese.
  • Place back in the oven to bake until the cheese has melted, about 10 minutes.
  • While the potatoes are in the oven, chop the pickles, green onions, and tomatoes.
  • Once the cheese has melted garnish the potatoes with sour cream, pickles, tomatoes, green onions or any other toppings such as ketchup or mustard.

STUFFED BACON CHEESEBURGERS

Stuffed Bacon Cheeseburgers image

Provided by Tyler Florence

Categories     main-dish

Time 32m

Yield 4 burgers

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack
4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
1 pound ground chuck
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 large hamburger buns, split
Ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard, for serving
Lettuce, sliced tomato, onion, and avocado, for serving

Steps:

  • Combine the jack cheese and chopped bacon in a bowl. Put the beef in another bowl and season with salt and pepper; use a rubber spatula to mix it in. Flatten 1/4 of the meat mixture in the palm of your hand. Squeeze together about a tablespoon of the cheese and bacon mixture to make a little nugget; put it in the center of the ground beef. Bring up the sides of the patty over the filling, making sure the cheese is completely covered by the meat. Flatten slightly for a nice patty shape. Set them side by side on a platter in the refrigerator while preparing the grill.
  • Place a large grill pan on 2 burners over medium-high heat or preheat an outdoor gas or charcoal barbecue and get it very hot. Brush the grates with oil to keep the burgers from sticking. Grill the burgers for 8 minutes per side for medium. (The USDA recommends cooking ground beef until it is no longer pink and the internal temperature is 160 degrees F.) Remove the burgers to a clean side plate while you toast the buns.
  • Rub the grill rack with more oil and place the buns cut-side down, toast for 1 minute. Serve the burgers with your favorite condiment and any garnish you like, such as lettuce, sliced tomato, onion, and/or avocado.

THE BEST BACON CHEESEBURGER

The Best Bacon Cheeseburger image

While we love a grilled burger, this one is our go-to for all seasons. Instead of making a typical patty, we smash the meat in a super-hot cast-iron pan to get crispy, ruffled edges. Once you smash your burgers this way, you'll never go back! We top them with all the fixings, including our perfectly balanced special sauce. It's what we consider an iconic burger.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 25m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 13

1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
2 tablespoons pickle relish
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
8 slices thick-cut bacon
4 sesame seed hamburger buns, split
2 pounds ground beef (80-percent lean)
Kosher salt
4 thin slices sharp white Cheddar
4 thin slices red onion
8 thin slices tomato
1/4 head iceberg lettuce, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish and vinegar in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Working in batches if necessary, add the bacon to a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Cook, flipping halfway through, until crisp and golden, about 10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a nonstick baking sheet. Discard the bacon fat (or save for another use) and wipe the skillet clean but do not wash. Heat over medium-high heat until very hot, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the buns split-side up to the baking sheet with the bacon and bake until the buns are toasted, about 5 minutes.
  • Loosely form the beef into 4 balls. Add one ball of beef to the skillet and press firmly to flatten with a large flat metal spatula for 10 seconds, then gently remove the spatula. Sprinkle the patty generously with salt; repeat with the remaining beef balls, cooking in batches if necessary. Let cook, undisturbed, until well browned on the bottoms, 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the patties, sprinkle with more salt and top each with a slice of Cheddar. Continue cooking until the cheese is melted around the edges and the bottoms are browned, about 2 more minutes.
  • Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the bun tops. Serve the patties on the bottom buns topped with the bacon, onion, tomato and lettuce.

CHEESEBURGER-STUFFED BAKED POTATOES RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Cheeseburger-Stuffed Baked Potatoes Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Provided by davidv

Number Of Ingredients 18

Baked potatoes:
4 Idaho potatoes, washed
Cheese sauce:
2 tsp butter
2 tsp flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup milk
10 slices American cheese, chopped
Filling:
1/2 lb ground beef
1/4 cup onion, finely diced
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp yellow mustard
4 Tbsp ketchup
2 Tbsp dill relish

Steps:

  • To prepare the baked potatoes, preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the potatoes in an 8" x 8" baking pan. Cover the pan with foil and bake until soft, about 1 hour. When the potatoes have finished baking, let them cool until you're able to handle them comfortably. While the potatoes are cooling, make the cheese sauce and the filling. To prepare the cheese sauce, melt the butter in a small sauce pot. Add the flour and cook, while stirring, for 30 seconds. Add the salt, pepper, and milk. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring constantly. When the sauce has thickened, remove from the heat and add the cheese. Stir until the cheese is completely melted. To prepare the filling, brown the ground beef with the onion in a small sauté pan over medium heat. Drain off the extra fat and place the meat into a medium-size bowl. Add the salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup, dill relish, and cheese sauce to the bowl and set aside. Once the potatoes have cooled, cut an opening, lengthwise, from the top of the potato. Scoop out the flesh, creating a shell. Take 1/2 cup of the potato flesh and chop it into small pieces and set aside. Repeat with the remaining potatoes. Place the empty potato shells back into the baking pan. To assemble the baked potatoes, fold in the reserved potato flesh with the ground beef mixture. Fill the prepared potato shells with the mixture and bake for 45 minutes.
