AXLE'S EASY BARBECUE SAUCE
I created this recipe in college as a way to cook a great barbecue sauce from the spices in my kitchen without having any fresh ingredients available. Substituting fresh alternatives can only improve the recipe!

Steps:
- Combine ketchup, lemon juice, water, brown sugar, garlic powder, olive oil, paprika, chili powder, honey, salt, dry mustard, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, ground black pepper, and hot sauce together in a large saucepan; cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until sauce is smooth and thickened, 45 minutes to 1 hour.

EASY BARBECUE SAUCE
They always say less is best, and this certainly stands true for this easy BBQ sauce recipe, it's very easy to make, and so good! I have doubled the original recipe, but you may cut the recipe down to half if desired. You can brush this sauce on while cooking, or marinate your meat in it, this is also fantastic for chicken too! This sauce is even better prepared a day ahead. If you like extra heat, just saute some dried chili flakes in with the onion and garlic.

- In a saucepan, saute onion and garlic in butter for about 3 minutes.
- Add in remaining ingredients, and simmer over low heat for about 25-30 minutes.
- Adjust all ingredients to suit taste.
- Delicious!

EASY BBQ SAUCE
I have been looking for a BBQ sauce recipe that is low sodium with sugar to taste. I added more molasses and brown sugar than I would have preferred, but the taste is worth it. There is no added salt. This is a combination to several recipes with a few added ingredients of my own. Easy to add or subtract your own touches. I used organic strained tomatoes from the natural foods store, but it is about the same consistence as commercial tomato sauce.
