"AWW, SHUCKS" CRESCENT DOUGH DESSERT
This is a souped up version of another zaar recipe, that I played around with until I thought it couldn't get any better. When I bring this to social gatherings, people are so estatic in their compliments, that I have to say "Aw, shucks, it's easy." Hence, the name.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350.
- Grease one 13x9 inch pan.
- Roll out first can of crescent dough into bottom of pan, and slightly up sides.
- Beat cream cheese, 1 cup of the sugar, and vanilla together. Spread over crescent dough.
- Microwave jam or preserves for 45 seconds, stirring once after twenty five seconds, to make it slightly liquid.
- Spread jam on top of cream cheese, taking care not to mix the two together but keeping them layered.
- With your hands, gently stretch second can of crescent dough and place on top of jam layer. This does not have to cover perfectly, in fact, open seams here and there look quite pretty with the jam peeking through.
- Mix melted butter, remaining 3/4 cup sugar, and cinnamon (or ginger) together, making sure to incorporate all the butter. Gently spoon butter mixture over dough, spreading to cover.
- Bake, uncovered, for 35 minutes, until top is browned nicely. Let it cool for fifteen minutes, cut and serve!
- Tastes best warm or room temp, but cold is delicious, too.

- Strawberry Cheesecake Crescent Rolls. Strawberry cheesecake isn’t always at the top of my list for favorite desserts. But when I can make it in 25 minutes using a flaky, crescent roll crust, that changes everything.
- Apple Pie Bites. These six-ingredient apple pie bites take only 30 minutes to make, and they taste like the whole fall season rolled up into miniature dessert bites.
- Apple Dumplings. These are more of my favorite treats. I make them whenever I see a couple of spare cans of crescent rolls in my fridge. You’ll need Granny Smith apples, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and crescent rolls.
- Nutella Crescent Rolls. Needing only three ingredients (four if you want to add pecans), these yummy treats can be done in less than 20 minutes! To make them, you’ll roll out your crescent rolls and cover them with Nutella.
- Palmiers. I’ve always enjoyed palmiers, but for the longest time, I avoided making them myself because they just seemed like they’d be so much work. As it turns out, when made with crescent rolls, they take almost no work at all!
- Cinnamon Rolls. These crescent roll cinnamon rolls are another favorite of mine. They taste great for dessert or as sweet breakfast pastries. They take about 10 minutes to throw together and another 20 to bake.
- Crescent Roll Monkey Bread. Monkey bread is probably one of the messiest, stickiest desserts you can make, but it tastes so good, no one ever cares about the mess.
- Sopapilla Cheesecake. This fun recipe combines two totally different desserts into something that’s surprisingly amazing. The cake is soft, moist, and fluffy, but the topping is crispy, just like a real sopapilla.
- Crescent Cherry Cheesecake Cobbler. This recipe is specifically for cherry cheesecake cobbler. However, you can adjust the recipe to use your favorite berries, whether that’s strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or something else.
- Cherry Turnovers. These turnovers make great after-dinner desserts, but I frequently serve them for Sunday morning breakfasts and brunches, as well.
