Ingredients

5 cups steamed carrots (drained (I used a pressure cooker, 3 minutes on high with one cup of water))
1 medium white onion (thinly sliced)
1 small green (yellow, or red pepper chopped into bite size pieces)
Dressing:
2 cans cream of tomato soup
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar (or less as desired)
1-1/2 cups cider vinegar
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper

Steps:

Steam the carrots and chill overnight. Add the remaining vegetables with the carrots in a large bowl. Combine the dressing ingredients in a separate bowl and pour over the vegetables. Chill in a covered container. Enjoy!

My husband's grandma gave us this recipe and it tastes just like the real thing. Very easy to make (if my husband can make it anyone can!). He made a double batch and that gave us about two quart canning jars full.

Ingredients

1 cup salad oil
3/4 cup sugar
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
1/2 cup vinegar
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon cracked black peppercorns (ground with grinder)

Steps:

Mix all ingredients in a blender until creamy.
Pour into canning jar or container and refrigerate overnight.
Here is an update on this dressing. To thicken the dressing add a little cornstarch.

This comes from the Pioneer Woman on the foodnetwork. It's her Aunts recipe for salad dressing. She says Aunt Trish always used salad oil but you can use canola oil. And you can also use the Parmesan cheese that comes in a can if you wish.

3/4 cup olive oil or 3/4 cup canola oil
2 lemons, juiced
4 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 dash paprika
1 garlic clove, peeled and left whole

Steps:

Place all the ingredients in a jar with lid. Shake it up and then refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving.
Good on salad greens and pasta salads.
