SIMPLE SESAME NOODLES

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the soy sauce, canola oil, sesame oil, sugar, vinegar, chili oil and garlic in a bowl. Taste and adjust the ingredients as needed.
- Drain the noodles. Pour the sauce over the warm noodles and toss to coat. Sprinkle with the green onions and toss. Serve in a bowl with chopsticks. Yummy!
APRICOT NOODLE CHICKEN
Stir fried apricot chicken with noodles. Sure to please picky eaters, what is even better is it takes less than 20 minutes to have on the table!!

Steps:
- Prepare the noodles as per the packet directs and continue the below steps while softening.
- Slice the chicken in to strips.
- In a large fry pan add the oil and fry the chicken until just sealed.
- Meanwhile combine the soup mix, apricots and nectar together.
- Add the frozen vegetables and the apricot mixture over the chicken and stir fry for about 5 minutes.
- Drain the noodles and add into the chicken mixture.
- Cook for a further 2 minutes (just to heat through).
- Serve immediately.

From the Taste site. I have all the ingredients on hand to make this soon.. Sushi seasoning is a vinegar, sugar salt mix we buy here in bottles at most supermarkets.

Steps:
- Combine soy sauce, miso paste, sushi seasoning and ginger in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cook noodles in a saucepan of boiling water for 8 minutes or until just tender. Refresh under cold water. Drain. Set aside.
- Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a wok or large non-stick frying pan on high heat. Stir-fry half the beef for 2-3 minutes or until browned. Transfer to a bowl. Repeat with remaining beef, reheating wok between batches.
- Heat remaining oil in wok on high heat. Stir-fry onion for 1-2 minutes or until soft. Add garlic, carrot, cabbage and water. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until carrot is tender-crisp. Add noodles, beef and soy sauce mix. Stir-fry for 2 minutes or until heated through. Divide among bowls. Top with shallot and sesame seeds.

Steps:
- Cut the beef into 2cm (1 3/4 inch) cubes and toss in seasoned flour to coat.
- Place in crockpot or slowcooker with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours, or high for 4-5 hours until the meat is very tender.
- Serve with boiled rice and a green salad.
- TO COOK IN THE OVEN;- Place the flour coated beef in a casserole dish with the remaining ingredients, cover and cook in a moderately low oven, (160c/325f/gas 3) for 2 to 2 1/2 hours until tender.

This dish has a great combination of flavors, I have made this many times, it's a family favorite, prep time does not include boiling the noodles, plan ahead the meat needs to marinate for about 4 hours

- Combine the sliced beef with dried chili flakes, mustard, soy sauce and garlic (if using) refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
- Cook noodles according to package directions (omitting seasoning packages).
- Heat oil in large skillet, over medium-high heat, until hot.
- Add beef with marinade; stir-fry 2 minutes.
- Add noodles, preserves, broth, onions, and 1 tbsp sesame seeds.
- Cook 1 minute, or until heated through.
- Top with remaining sesame seeds before serving.
