These simple honey sesame almonds take just 15 minutes to make! They're the perfect crunchy sweet and salty healthy snack.

2 tablespoons honey
2 cups roasted unsalted almonds
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
¼ cup sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Place 2 tablespoons honey in a small, microwave-safe bowl or measuring cup and microwave for 15 seconds. In a large bowl, mix the honey with the remainder of the ingredients.
  • Place the mixture on a parchment covered baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes. Allow to cool fully, then gently break apart the almonds. Store in an airtight container.

Buttery, rich and delicious, these classic almond sandies are my husband's favorite cookie and very popular wherever I take them. -Joyce Pierce, Caledonia, Michigan

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup slivered almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300°. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in extract. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Fold in almonds. , Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake until edges are lightly browned, 22-24 minutes. Cool for 1-2 minutes before removing to wire racks.

Almond Softies image

Big, soft cookies with a wonderful "almondy" aroma and flavor. I can't remember where I got the recipe exactly, but I can remember having and making it for a few years. It has become a classic cookie staple in my home. If you like the flavor of almonds, you'll love these cookies; and if your cookie monsters are anything like mine, they'll be gone really fast. My mother and husband actually got into a fight over the last cookie!!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup canned almond filling (I use SOLO)
1/4 cup milk
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sliced blanched almond (I like to toast them)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs; blend well.
  • Add the almond filling and milk; blend well.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; add to the butter mixture and mix to form a dough.
  • Scoop 2 rounded tablespoons.
  • of dough and roll them together to form each cookie.
  • Drop dough 2-inches apart onto parchment paper-lined cookie sheets.
  • Press the sliced almonds into the tops.
  • Bake about 15 minutes, until the cookies are firm to the touch and lightly golden.
  • Transfer cookies to wire racks and cool completely. Store airtight.
