WHITE MELON SANGRIA

White Melon Sangria image

Even though it seems a contradiction for a sangria to be made with white wine (since sangria is named for its blood-red color), once you've tasted this festive thirst quencher it won't matter a bit! Pieces of mixed summer melons are the perfect match for a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. From 'EatingWell.com' and posted for ZWT5.

GREEN MELON-MINT SANGRIA

WHITE SANGRIA

White Sangria image

This sangria takes five to 10 minutes to assemble in a large pitcher. Take the time to prepare it in the morning so the sangria has several hours to develop its fruity flavor. Pull it out when dinner is ready to serve that evening.

CUCUMBER MELON SANGRIA - GARNISH WITH LEMON
What I love about sangria is you don’t have to break the bank to enjoy it. A $10-12 bottle of white wine will do the job nicely in this recipe. Since this Cucumber Melon Sangria gets its sweetness from fruit and a bit of sugar, look for a white wine that is dry and crisp. Definitely reserve that oak-heavy Chardonnay for another occasion.
