1 tbsp whiskey
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lemon juice (fresh or lemon concentrate)
1 cup warm water or herbal tea (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix whiskey, honey and lemon juice together and stir well.
  • Dosage for adults is 1 -2 tablespoons every 4-6 hours or as needed for cough. We like to drink it straight up. However, if you desire, you can place ingredients in either a cup of warm water or herbal tea, mix and sip on it. If you like it sweeter, add a little more honey to the mix.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice together. DO NOT ADD Whiskey. Mix together and can be taken straight up or mix in a little warm water. Do not give honey to children less than 12 months of age.

WHISKEY COUGH CURE

Whiskey Cough Cure image

Here it is... I promised I'd post it. My grandmother's sure-fire mix to fix that tickley cough in the back of your throat or that deep wheezy cough that rattles and hurts. Don't worry about the gettin drunk part; you won't be using that much because this is good. Keep in mind these measurements are VERY approximate. HOWEVER, do keep the ratio's kinda the same.

Categories     Homeopathy/Remedies

Time 5m

Yield 1/4 cup

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/4 cup good strong cheap whiskey
3 peppermint candies (the hard kind)
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons sugar (this is actually to taste)

Steps:

  • In a small fruit jar, place the whiskey and honey.
  • Crush the peppermints well (this just helps them dissolve) and toss in the jar. If you need it, add the sugar, but if you don't need it, don't add it.
  • Let sit and the peppermints dissolve.
  • When you need it, take a spoonful; tablespoon if it's very bad, teaspoon if it's light. It's alright to give this to children, just make it more diluted with water.
