EASY BANANA BAKED OATMEAL



Easy Banana Baked Oatmeal image

This super easy baked oatmeal recipe is perfect for easy breakfasts and pre-workout snacking. Enjoy a slice warm from the oven topped with berries and peanut butter then store the rest for quick breakfasts all week.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups rolled oats (150 g)
2 ripe bananas, mashed (approx. 220 grams)
2 tbsp ground flaxseeds (14 g)
1 3/4 cups almond milk
1/2 tsp sea salt (optional, enhances flavor)
1 tsp cinnamon (optional, enhances flavor)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, enhances flavor)

Steps:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Place the mashed banana in an 8×8 square baking dish. Use a fork to mash it into a smooth paste.
  • Add the oats, flax, milk, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla and mix well.
  • Bake in the oat mixture in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • Let cool for 15 minutes in the pan before cutting into 6 squares. Serve right away or store in the fridge up to 4 days. The baked oatmeal squares can also be frozen for up to 3 months in an airtight container.

A healthy banana oatmeal recipe to make for a delicious and wholesome breakfast.

1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk of choice
1/4 cup water or additional milk of choice
1 large very overripe banana, (mashed)
optional 1/4 tsp cinnamon
optional crushed walnuts, (mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, etc.)
sweetener of choice, (if needed)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a small pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, stir only occasionally to prevent sticking or boiling over. It will eventually thicken. Sweeten as desired. Add your favorite toppings. I like peanut butter, mini chocolate chips, or the healthy nutella recipe linked earlier in this post. Serve hot, or refrigerate overnight and serve either hot or cold the next day.View Nutrition Facts

1 1/4 cups skim milk
1 pinch salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup oatmeal (not instant)
1 small banana, cut four slices, save for top of oatmeal, cut rest into small pieces
1 pinch allspice

Steps:

  • Bring milk, salt, vanilla, and brown sugar to a boil.
  • Add oats and allspice.
  • Reduce to medium boil for 5 minutes.
  • Add banana, turn off heat, let set for 2-3 minutes.
  • Put into 2 bowls, sprinkle brown sugar for color, and place 2 banana slices.

1 1/4 cups almond milk
1 banana, mashed
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 dash nutmeg
1 cup quick-cooking oats
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 scoop protein shake mix (probably could do two scoops just add a little extra milk)

Steps:

  • Heat milk and mashed banana to boiling.
  • Reduce to medium heat
  • Add in rest of ingredients except vi-shape and cook 5 mins or until oats are soft.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vi-shape.
  • Enjoy.
